[He turns to show off a small handmade bee box. It's made from salvage, but looks sturdy enough, a few bees buzzing around outside their new home, which has been carefully bundled up to help them deal with the chill.]

No, but I get it. It's the smart move to be wary. But- the multiverse is a complicated thing. You can flip that coin a hundred times and get heads every time, but that doesn't mean that's the only answer.

Among other things, tried to kill Spider-Man, a few times. He's one of Spider-Man's rivals.

The kid? Really? [Not that Beck wouldn't hesitate to take out Peter if he had to, but as far as he was concerned he'd gotten what he needed from him.]

Spider-Man is one of the most effective Avengers there is.

The Avengers I heard about were pretty sparse by the time I arrived, so I'll give you that, assuming your Earth is anything like the other one.

Well there's another point for our being from separate worlds. My world didn't have Avengers. Spider-Man's was left with a few shattered remains after Stark's sacrifice.

This was before I was pulled there, but Thanos had snapped half the universe out of existence. The Avengers brought them back, and Stark used the stones to end Thanos and his army. It was a truly noble thing.

Thanos? Geez, Avengers in your world let him get the Infinity Stones? Lame.

Sounds more like a T-Challa thing to do, but go off I guess.

I'm friends with Stark. He teaches me stuff. But it's not my Stark. Not my problem.

Hey, if you want me to care about what that Stark decides and what he did because of who he is in my world, then I guess I gotta care about what my Mysterio did and apply it to you, right?

[Beck raises his palms.]

I just agreed with you. You really do like to be contrary, don't you? I'm not looking for a fight. The only doubles I ever met were Elementals trying to destroy the Earth, I thought it might be different if it was someone close to you.

Elementals, destroying the Earth? Huh, sounds like you need Strange to deal with that.

[His features twist a little. He was supposed to be the tragic hero of that story, but he gave another nod.]

We would have happily accepted his help. Like I said, the Avengers- pretty sparse around there. Off world, or off just plan the grid.

Yeah, they do it sometimes. Back home it was when Mom sorta killed a few of them. But they had lied to her and she was possessed by the Lifeforce.
