Well guys, seems I've fun into a little problem…
[The camera pans from where it started, on Tommy's face, to a table. Those familiar with the diner might recognize the kitchen of it if they've helped out there, either in Tommy's time or back with Eli Vanto was running the place. There's no denying the bit of chaos going on here, given the table he'd been using for prep was on the floor. In several pieces. Which a different angle of view of is soon available as Tommy curses off screen and the phone clearly falls. When it hits the ground it looks briefly at the table before falling flat, looking just up at the ceiling where there is clearly some… Is that stew sticking to the ceiling?]
Shit! Okay. Um, that's…
[He scoops up the device again and looks at it.]
Anyone willing to run by the Space Ikea and get me a new work table. And maybe help put it together? Oh, and some stools. And a bench. Uh… And some sleeping pills or something? If I don't get some proper rest soon, I'm worried I'm accidentally vibrate the building down. Which would be bad.
Thanks.

Lunch.
Tommy sets out a selection of bowls for people to fill for themselves from a big pot of stew next to where he put down the larger bin of salad. Granted it didn't look much like salad given the 'greens' were actually faintly blue, but hey, he even put cumatoes and diced bacon mushrooms on it for flavor. Plus was it a meal without access to the side of meat Tommy had roasted up for people over a literal fire. Sure, it was slightly charred, but it was something.
Once it was all put down Tommy took a seat near the door and did something that he wasn't really happy with doing. Tommy tucked his hands under his arms and pinned them there, afraid to touch just about anything. Unfortunately his legs were bouncing as well, and the speed of it was making the table he was near start to vibrate as well.
That made Tommy curse and he freed his hands just long enough to pull his legs up to cross them under himself before tucking his hands away again.
"Dammit, David. If you were here you'd know what to do."

[Billy looks concerned.]

[Tommy's hand comes up into his hair and a light in the background starts shaking. Fuck.]
Can't sleep at all. It's bad for my control.
no subject
I'm coming over there, okay? Hang on. How long's it been like this?
no subject
[And he's losing it, B. There might be a reason he hasn't been home when Billy went to sleep or got up.]
no subject
That's...not good. Is it can't sleep, can't stay asleep or...won't sleep?

[It's a little more than a second, but Tommy's probably used to waiting for his brother by now.]
You should have told me sooner. As both doctor and brother, I want to help.

But the char on the meat didn't seem to bother her any either, happily tearing away at it, and glancing curiously at Tommy.
"Why are you just-?" she gestured vaguely at him. Being all still like that. It was weird.
no subject
He worked so hard to feed people, he doesn't want to put them off their food.
"The meat okay?"
no subject
Her sharp canines tear through the meat easily, and she nods. "Yeah, it's not bad. Tastes like meat." Catra doesn't have a whole lot to compare it to. Seems good enough to her.
no subject
Sorry, just friends Catra, and he has to say it in a rude way. His own powers on edge is driving him up the wall.
"Powers are sorta wonky. Don't wanna blow things up."
no subject
She edges back a little from that threat with his follow up. "That's a thing you can do?"
no subject
Kinks, man. That's a thing.
"Got any sleeping pills?"

"Can anyone help themselves, or is there some kind of barter system or-?" he asks, pausing at the way the table vibrates, head tilting, seeming to make the connection between that and Tommy's jumpy legs. "...You good?"
no subject
Great, another one.
"Why do all mid-life crisis guys here have to look like they wanna be Tony? Geez. Go on, eat. I'll be fine. Probably."
no subject
He paused then, surprised by that blunt assessment, and unsure if he was annoyed by it, or impressed. He played ignorant fairly convincingly, arching a brow a little before repeating- "Tony? Who's that? Also, I mean- I'm 39. I'm sure that seems ancient to you, but mid-life crisis seems a bit unfair." There was a teasing glint to his eye.
"Probably. Right. Very reassuring."
no subject
"You're really new if you don't know Stark yet. Don't worry, you will. And you'll envy his beard."
Because Tony's was clearly fuller. And better kept. Thirty-nine, though? Ouch. That's old. So damn old.
"Nah, mid-life sounds about right."
He still hasn't freed his hands or legs, and he's shaking a bit more.
"Listen, I'm not here to reassure you. Just to make sure people eat."
no subject
"Ouch. You're a real charmer, Kid, you know that?" He laughs, and takes the opportunity to fetch himself a bowl of stew, coming back to join Tommy at his table as though he'd been invited.
"So you made all this?" he asks casually, pointedly ignoring whatever struggle he's going through.
no subject
"No one ever told me I had to be charming," Tommy shrugged a little.
But then there was the guy sitting down. What the fuck? Tommy wasn't aimming at friendly today. And the guy is insisting.
"Yeah. Helped grow the food too."

[And it's punctuated by more falling sounds.]
The table broke.
no subject
I'll say. And I thought I was the one that broke stuff.
How big a replacement you looking for? -never mind, I'll come over and size it up myself.

[Tommy just sighs.]
I'm sorry for the need for help.
