Greetings everyone. For those that I have not yet met, my name is Ben Kenobi and I am a recent arrival to this planet.

[The image is of one very calm and serene looking Jedi who is sitting cross legged in some random place around the city. He had been doing some meditating before deciding to officially make his presence known on the network for the first time.]

Now that I have settled in as well as one can, I have been considering the matter of these data points. I believe it would be useful for me use one. The question is which? That is what I’m hoping you might help me with. It seems to be an important decision.

So I am asking. Where is our community lacking? I wish to be of most use to everyone here. So I’m hoping you might give me feedback so that I can make a decision accordingly. How can I contribute best to our little society? Do we need medics? Pilots? Or something else? Please do let me know what you think.

Unfortunately, that's one of the few things I don't think I could be of help with. Not that I'm incapable, but I'm afraid you might not like anything I would make as I don't have any talent in that area. Though if someone were willing to teach me, I suppose I could try.

Heh, if we had some expert cooks I wouldn't be bringin' it up. Unless of course they're keeping quiet about it.

Anyway! Just a suggestion. I don't keep much track of who all's touched what data-thingy. Personally I've steered clear of them so far. We might be a bit short on pilots. Lost a couple of 'em since we got back from the Agrii ship, including our temperamental one with all the hair and the fancy sword.

Oh yeah. Neat weapon. It was an energy blade of some kind, all red and crackly. Cut right through metal doors.

I see...

[Obi-Wan then reached to his side and holds up a metal cylinder. A blue energy blade then appearing with a crackle and a hum as the lightsaber was activated.]

Did it look anything like this?

[The Exo's eyes brighten at that, and despite having a metal face, he definitely manages a grin as he points at the screen.]

Ooh! Yes! Just like that! Except not, because obviously it's not red. Actually liking the blue a lot more.

[Its amusing to see the... droid’s? glee at the sight of a weapon. Certainly more expressive with emotion than any machine he has seen.]

That doesn’t surprise me. I did hear that a Sith had been present at one point. They are known for their red lightsabers.

"Sith", huh? Well yeah, that guy disappeared. He was the pilot on my shuttle. They like the bad guys or something? The uh, Sith.

Yes. Yes, they are.

[There was no hesitation or doubt. Everything he has seen. Everything he has been though. The Sith were unquestionably evil in his mind.]

[Cayde nods thoughtfully at that, taking it in stride. The Ren kid hadn't seemed bad, just really...intense? Moody? He shrugs.]

Well anyway he's not here anymore, and he didn't like, kill anyone while he was here at least.

I suppose that’s something to be grateful for. Though not all murder people at every opportunity. Some bide their time and attack when you least expect it.

[He can speak from experienced on that.]

Never trust anyone who wields a red lightsaber.

Ah, they like intrigue. Not much of a fan myself. I prefer doing things straightforward.

[He tilts his head then.]

What...not at all? What if they like, just found one?

You don’t just “find one”.

Why not?

The crystals that power our lightsabers are not easily obtained for one.

And for another, the reason the blades of the Sith are red is due to them violating the crystal. They are living, nearly sentient stones are attuned to the light side of the Force. For a Sith to use one they must bend it to their will. It’s a terrible process. So unless you are willing or able to do that, or you somehow manage to steal such a blade, I’m afraid you’re out of luck.

[Is he getting lectured? It feels like he's getting lectured. Cayde stares at the screen, having Ikora flashbacks.]

Uh-huh. Okay, good to know. Um. But let's say hypothetically, if me or someone randomly got their hands on a lightsaber that happened to be red, would you be all 'Raaar! Have at thee, villain!' without asking explanation or what?

[Maybe a little bit. He did ask though! Though he looks slightly annoyed at what is said next.]

Of course not. Though I wouldn’t approve of it either.
