WHO: Lorna Dane + anyone
WHERE: Various
WHAT: Lorna is back from a canon update ✨
WHEN: Because I am eight million years late getting this up, prompts vary between December 8th and nowish.
WARNINGS: Spoilers in post for X-Factor (2020) up to issue #4.
01 » (ship | Bloodsport) » DECEMBER 8th to 13th » When she gets back after her interruption (though thankfully this time was less of a lengthy absence), she doesn't spend a lot of time on her assigned ship, but she is there — sometimes.
Her sleep is more off than usual after her return; either she finds she can't sleep, or she's asleep for a couple of hours (if that) before she jolts awake after a nightmare. When the latter happens, she doesn't want to disturb her shipmates who are actually getting some sleep in (or she feels too bad about waking one of them up), so she slinks off to another area of the ship to be. Usually that means she'll sit under the stream of hot water in the shower for the ten minutes it's hot, then let the cold water run over her until she can't stand it any more, or she goes to the dining area and pokes at some of the protein stuff that still looks questionable.
If someone in the ship doesn't see her awake in the kitchen, well. Her time in the kitchen also becomes the occasional extra sleeping area for her, when she's stared at protein long enough while thinking about everything and nothing, her head becomes heavy again and she rests it on the table. This doesn't last long, though, because it often only becomes a matter of time before some unpleasant image comes up in her brain, and she jolts awake again — or, she wakes up when she hears the microwave(ish) device beeping at her because her powers are interacting with it as her mind is bothered in sleep. That, or she causes a little shaking that wakes her up.
After that, she usually just walks outside of the ship and goes elsewhere. Sometimes she sits by it. Mostly she needs peace.
02 » (ruins | any of them) » DECEMBER 14th to 17th »
And as the days pass, she takes her sleep-deprived-angry-sad ass to some of the ruins around to go take her energy out on them. Leaping around them like they're some obstacle course, or making some of the rocks shake until they break. Uh, duck?
And when that gets old, she takes a seat on some block of ruin, and tries to meditate. "tries" being he key word, because it often ends up like her attempts at sleep. When her mind tries to enter any state of relaxation, it too often goes back to Krakoa and what she feels is a very personal failure on her part, and that is a little bit too recent, too fresh, for her to get reprieve from just yet. It reminded her of how much she hates herself, deep down, and oneself is an impossible thing to run from. Like sleep, it sends her into panic attacks. Oh yeah, she's definitely her father's child.
03 » (et cetera | wildcard) » DECEMBER 18th to PRESENT-ISH »
[drop me a starter with her somewhere else, or hit me up on PM or plurk to hash a specific thing out.]

"You know, back home David would tell me that sometimes you need to break things, and sometimes you need to talk. So you know, I'm good for either."

"Burden me if you need to. We're family."

"What's going on when you are, Lorna?"
Let him talk to you about it. Let him support you.

"I'm with X-Factor, on Krakoa, this time investigating mutant deaths mostly, so we know who to bring back if they're really dead and not just vanished. I'd be more useful to them right now in that vanished category, so I guess it's good I'm here."
And the gold medal in cynicism goes to... her.
"Also, I want to punch everyone's favorite father-grandfather into at least the stratosphere, but what's new there? At least some things don't change."
Which is her way of saying: Hey Erik fuck you for accusing her of 'dallying' when she was trying her best.

"Yeah, Mags is sorta creepy at the moment, isn't he? Has been there ever since he really went in hard on the white costume," Tommy sighs, fingers of his free hand going into his hair. "I mean, I've heard what he lets people call Mom. Pretty sure if I even tried a gate, it'd bounce me, mutant or not. Makes dating David harder, the distance and how busy you guys are. But I've been happy, knowing you're there to watch out for each other. My favorite Maybe-Aunt and my guy."

Both of the last two statements being extreme understatements at that. To call it a 'nickname', and Erik's general...attitude.
"As far as I'm concerned, given how weird magic operates in our universe and its penchant for being fickle and everything else being not what they seem, we're still family by genetics. And even if we weren't, or aren't &emash; or whatever the fuck &emash; we're chosen family, which is just as legitimate. And regardless if it was by chance or choice, there's no way in hell I could have gotten a better nephew, so I'm sorry but you're stuck with me. And I am absolutely looking out for David."

And the fact was that he still loved her.
Still, he smiles at the declaration that they were family.
"I don't mind being stuck with you. Green-fam gotta stick together, right?" he asks, smiling at her as he leans his head against Lorna's shoulder. "And good on the looking out. Like the guy, but David gets himself into stupid shit all the time. Like me."

When he catches sight of the woman with the green hair, Reeve gestured for Mini to stay behind and crossed to the woman. He wasn't very familiar with her, so he wanted to greet her. And that look on her face... He'd seen it before back home.
"Going on a walk? Would you welcome company?"

Coffee and a press for it. He doesn't offer it out often, but he doesn't mind sharing.

He offers a gentle smile as he starts walking. "I think I have one of the few reserves here. I rarely dole it out. I don't even share with Stark."

Intriguing. That would make her another person from Earth.
"Truly, is a secret handshake that needful when we both already know what it is we share? That could complicate things, what with our hands soon to be full of coffee."

He can feel the tumult of emotions rolling off of her, and there's a look of sympathy on Obi-Wan's face as he looks on. Eventually he moves closer, hoping not to startle her.
"Would you mind if I sit here?" He asks, motioning to another block of concrete next to hers.
Re: 2
"Sorry if my mess and noise was bothersome. Rough day."

“I may not be able to help with whatever is troubling you, but if you’re seeking to calm your mind, that is something I know a bit about.”
He’s a Jedi after all, and they spent their entire lives learning how to quiet their minds.

"I already have thirty-nine years experience in the troubles department, so if you do have any tips for chill, I'm absolutely all ears."
no subject
This is says with amusement, even if there is a slightly sad note at the end. Green hair was not all that unusual where he was from either!
“Well then, it’s fortunate that I have thirty-eight years of experience in the chill department. I couldn’t help but notice that you were trying to meditate.”

“As for the how, it’s from a lifetime of training and discipline. Though that doesn’t mean you can’t learn as well.”

There was, much to his surprise, already someone in the shower when he arrived, making him stare curiously at the steam billowing out of the room for a beat, not used to running into anyone here. He supposed he could wait his turn, if he had to, now that the tank was clearly depleted, and slunk away to bundle the soot-stained clothes into the washer. This thing could definitely work faster, couldn't it...?
By the time he was back up out of the cargo hold, a new bruise on his elbow and wiping grease from his good hand, there was a spray of slightly damp, green hair across the kitchen table, making him pause again, wondering if he could escape or had been heard. They were obviously going to have to work out their shower schedule, though. He slid into the seat next to her, frowning when she didn't seem to have a reaction to that, and carefully gathered her hair from the table to push back over her ear to find her sleeping face.

The movement of hair makes her stir from her sleep a bit, which then makes her wake up just enough more to feel the hardness of the table. "This pillow sucks. Who hasn't made the blackbird's dashboard softer yet?" She mumbles, mostly still in a sleepy haze and not quite awake.
Which in then turn makes her all the more awake, and finally, she lifts her head. "Hey. What'd I miss?" Clearly she is nowhere on any X-Men transport vehicle, and she's awake enough to know where she actually is now.
no subject
"Not much," he assured her. "We took a vote, and elected Wanda queen of the city, mostly because she's already got a lineage going so we don't have to worry about that again for a while, so she owns all of the ships now and we're supposed to be painting them red. Sleeping like that is terrible for your neck, you know. Trust me, I had to get a new one, that's not easy."

He was under the impression that he had been without pampering for far longer than Lorna, though, so Tony surprised himself with the question, "Didn't you just get here?" With a glance around the ship as though that could provide some answers for him, he continued, "Have you been here this whole time?"
