Ugh, I need a real challenge. Punching trees and mattresses gets really boring after a while.
Anyone in the mood for sparring or something? Never know when some actual threat might show up. I promise I'll go easy on you. Unless you really wanna go at it then I won't complain- just don't cry at me later.

Yeah, me neither.

He catches the stick between the prongs of his sai, pushing it down as he swings out with his own kick towards her side, trying to catch her off guard.]
no subject
[The kick connects, and she tries to transfer the momentum of that and the downward thrust of her staff to flip herself away, crouching low and swiping for Raph's feet.]
no subject
Nice try!
[As soon as his feet touch the ground again he dashes to the side before darting in at an angle, leading with one sai, then the other in a follow-up slash.]
no subject
[Those reflexes come in handy, catching the first sai with her staff and redirecting it, only just barely dodging the follow up. She looks surprised, and viciously tries to jab her staff into his gut, hoping if she can get him winded she can regain the upper hand.]

[Yes, he's being super sarcastic. His attacks bring him in close, and while he can't completely dodge the end of her staff in this proximity, he still does his best to try. Plastrons aren't that flexible but on the plus side it's tough and can take some hits. Raphael can still feel the force behind Catra's blow as the staff glances off him even as he tries to hop back.
He drops into a forward tumble, rising with both his weapons, reverse-gripped so the pommel of each are thrust outwards rather than the pointier end as he attempts to give Catra a taste of her own tactics.]

[Her laughter is interrupted by a yelp, her attempt to block landing her a very unpleasant hit to the knuckles. She gave a low grumble, something like a cross between a hiss and growl, shoving him back and jumping away to get some distance to try and nurse her hand.]
no subject
We takin' five already?
no subject
[She give another growl-like hiss, and taking a running start on all fours to pounce on him.]
no subject
[That catches him off guard, and with a yelp he starts to back up, only to find himself on his shell again as she pounces, skidding along the ground with her.]
no subject
[Catra's hair stands up on end, claws digging in to Raph wherever they can so she doesn't get thrown, an aborted attempt at stopping them only sending them spinning wildly. She hadn't accounted for shell surfing, eyes wide with alarm.]
Make it stop!
no subject
[They go careening down a slope off the road, spinning about like some crazy amusement park ride. It's hard to see where they're going when they're whirling about, and he only hopes he can stop them somehow before they crash into something.]
Hang on!
[Not that she hadn't been doing so already, but Raphael swings an arm outward, plunging his sai into the ground in hopes it catches. There's a bit of a drag before it does, the abrupt halt in momentum pulling sharply at his arm, but they cease to spin and eventually slow to a halt.]
no subject
[No way is she letting go.
Even as they eventually slow to a halt Catra's hair and tail are poofed to at least twice their usual size, wide eyes blinking slowly before her claws abruptly release him and she leaps off, tail twapping him in the face for good meassure.]
Ugggggggh. I'm gonna be sick- I did not like that....
no subject
[He bats her tail away with his other hand as he sits up, grumbling.]
Hey, it was your fault in the first place.
[The turtle winces as he tries to stretch out his arm. Okay, maybe it did not like that last move.]
no subject
I don't why you're always saying that.
[She pauses then.]
...Are you okay?
no subject
[He slowly shifts his shoulder in testing, frowning as he tries not to wince again. He leaves his weapons on the ground as he rubs at his arm.]
Yeah. Think it's just a sprain.
no subject
[She frowns, tail twitching and moves closer to poke at it.]
Do we need to take you to the hospital?
no subject
[He flinches away from her poking, which only makes him wince again with the movement. ]
-no, it's fine, it's just sore is all.
no subject
...So I guess I won then?
no subject
[He carefully replaces his weapons with his good arm, then tries getting to his feet. Stubborrrrrn.]
We're calling that one a draw.
no subject
I mean, sure. If you're not ready to admit I beat you. We can call it that for now.
no subject
Whatever! Or would you rather have kept spinning around until we crashed into a wall?
