[The image starts out crooked but the Exo's actively adjusting it before he steps back and gives someone a thumb's up off-screen.]

All right, so good news? Nothing sprung a leak despite prior circumstances, surrounding area's a little damp though, but all in all? Everything's pretty much how I left it. Even got some supposed cyanana booze that's been uh...going through this still since before we left for space. -okay I'm not exactly sure how that might taste? So in the meantime, I've got a backup plan.

[He seems to remember something then, coming up close to the communicator.]

But Cayde, you say, what's all this about anyway? Excellent question! I was so excited I forgot to say. Ahem. So, some of you- a good number, actually, might be aware that I have been in the process of putting together a bar-slash-common gathering area type of hangout...thing. It's pretty much been done, just not stocked- but now that we're finally back from...all that and then some, I've got a selection of fine drinks for your...uh... drinking pleasure. Also some non-alcoholic stuff for the non-drinkers and the under-aged. Oh, and there's tea and coffee too.

[Fishing around in his pocket, he holds up a map he's drawn up, the location circled.]

We're right down here, southeast sector, past the lake- I'm working on getting some kind of a landmark but this place is fresh out of neon signs. Anyway! I'll be around. Come as you please, even if I'm not- don't trip up the stairs, help yourself and uh, don't mind if the fish stare at you.

Making the network announcement had helped to fully kick his mood back into a semblance of normal. Truth be told, he just wanted to gather up people together, real people, and settle in with an ambiance of more pleasant times and warmer company.

The backdrop of the water-filled courtyard that made up the center of the nest of buildings had been something Cayde had at the time thought whimsical. During the daylight hours the light that filtered through the large window was a wavering green-blue, offset by the small sconces along the wall and a few individual lanterns at tables and flanking the bar area adjacent to the makeshift aquarium.

Cayde had set up the various bottles of drinks he'd acquired from their planetary pit-stop and scavenged from the cafe on a somewhat crooked shelf behind the bar itself. He'd been trying to go for rustic like those Old West saloons but in the middle gave up and just let things shape itself as he found them. The glassware is just as mismatched as the furniture, but everything's clean and ready to be made use of. If there's anything he really wishes he had, it would be an old-fashioned phonograph player or some kind of music source just to drive off the quiet that filled the space when no people did.

You're not pushing. Like I said, I'm willing and happy. It makes me feel good to do things for you.

[Oh... Yep. He likes that, and beams at him.]

[Keith smiled a bit, kind of wishing they were alone at the moment because then he'd ask, even if Lance didn't mind performing in front of others. Keith was embarrassed to ask in front others. He nodded.]

I know. I just don't want to take advantage.

[the_tailor]

If you took advantage, I'd tell you. There's never harm in asking.

[Granted, he understands the feeling; Lance tends to be more on the needy side at times, and terribly paranoid due to his own self image, so he's often worried about going too far in asking Keith things.

But he wants him to know that Keith really can ask for anything.]

[tempredmental]

Mm. [Keith attempted a small smile, but then looked off to the side for a moment as he tried to mentally shake off where his head went with that comment. There wasn't harm in asking... anymore. And he had to keep reminding himself of that.

He nodded.]

I know. [Most of the time. He squeezed Lance's hand, meeting his gaze again.] I just need to be reminded sometimes.

Then I'll keep on reminding you, love, until I've hammered it into that noggin of yours. I'm happiest when I see you happy and know it's because of me.

[God, he's so in love.]

[tempredmental]

[Keith nodded.]

You do make me happy... even without me asking for things, you know.

[the_tailor]

Well, I'd definitely hope I did after all this time together. I want to keep you smiling. Always.

[Aw, heck with it. He's feeling too sappy. Lance leans in slowly, giving Keith a chance to stop him if he so pleases, and moves to kiss him softly.]

[tempredmental]

[At first, Keith was a little surprised. Lance knew how he felt about being overly affectionate in public, but his impulsive side hit. The topic had left him feeling a little sappy, too, and he took a breath before smiling a little and helping close that distance.

It wasn't a heavy kiss, but it was a kiss all the same, and Keith remained close to Lance when they pulled back, giving him a soft smile.]

Sometimes it's hard not to smile around you.

By all means, don't hold back.

[He's definitely happy that Keith allowed that kiss. Of course, he's not going to go any further with it--even Lance would admit that more would be a little much for sitting in a bar.

(Making out in a dark corner of a crowded nightclub would be another thing, but, y'know.)]

I'm so glad I'm marrying you.

[tempredmental]

[That just got Keith's smile to widen a bit more.]

Well, it helps when I have a good reason to smile. Having you is a good reason.

[But his expression softened again.]

I'm glad you said yes.

When I have a boyfriend who says things as romantic as that, how could you possibly think I'd say no? You're the best thing in my life, Keith. I'm fully incapable of saying no to you asking me to marry you.

[He's felt ready to say yes to it for quite a while, honestly.]

[tempredmental]

[That got Keith a little flustered for a moment.]

I don't know... is it really romantic if I'm just saying what I feel?

[Didn't he have to get all like... flowery and come up with sappy lines and stuff?]

It is, when you put it like that! You manage to be mega romantic sometimes without even realizing. It's awesome.

[And he'll just kiss his cheek!]

[tempredmental]

[Keith gave a tiny nervous laugh as Lance kissed him.]

Well, I'm glad you like it.

[He took Lance's hands in his own, wanting to have that touch.]

I do. I really, really do.

[His gaze moves down to their hands, and he smiles.]

We're definitely not the traditional kind of fairy tale romance, but the way I feel... I dunno, I imagine that this is what they talk about in the stories.

[tempredmental]

Mm... [Keith shook his head.] No. [He'd never been big on those stories with all the smooshy happy endings because he'd never felt they could be real. But this... in front of him... with their paired rings and clasped hands... this was real.] It's better.

It's better because it's real... not just some story.

[the_tailor]

See what I mean? You sound super duper mega romantic even when you don't plan it! That's like, one of the sweetest things I've ever heard.

[He gives his hands a squeeze.]

Gonna melt right here and now.

[tempredmental]

[Keith snorted a bit.]

Oh, ugh... don't do that. Then I'd have to mop up the mess and apologize to Cayde.

[Tease tease.]
