[The image starts out crooked but the Exo's actively adjusting it before he steps back and gives someone a thumb's up off-screen.]

All right, so good news? Nothing sprung a leak despite prior circumstances, surrounding area's a little damp though, but all in all? Everything's pretty much how I left it. Even got some supposed cyanana booze that's been uh...going through this still since before we left for space. -okay I'm not exactly sure how that might taste? So in the meantime, I've got a backup plan.

[He seems to remember something then, coming up close to the communicator.]

But Cayde, you say, what's all this about anyway? Excellent question! I was so excited I forgot to say. Ahem. So, some of you- a good number, actually, might be aware that I have been in the process of putting together a bar-slash-common gathering area type of hangout...thing. It's pretty much been done, just not stocked- but now that we're finally back from...all that and then some, I've got a selection of fine drinks for your...uh... drinking pleasure. Also some non-alcoholic stuff for the non-drinkers and the under-aged. Oh, and there's tea and coffee too.

[Fishing around in his pocket, he holds up a map he's drawn up, the location circled.]

We're right down here, southeast sector, past the lake- I'm working on getting some kind of a landmark but this place is fresh out of neon signs. Anyway! I'll be around. Come as you please, even if I'm not- don't trip up the stairs, help yourself and uh, don't mind if the fish stare at you.

Making the network announcement had helped to fully kick his mood back into a semblance of normal. Truth be told, he just wanted to gather up people together, real people, and settle in with an ambiance of more pleasant times and warmer company.

The backdrop of the water-filled courtyard that made up the center of the nest of buildings had been something Cayde had at the time thought whimsical. During the daylight hours the light that filtered through the large window was a wavering green-blue, offset by the small sconces along the wall and a few individual lanterns at tables and flanking the bar area adjacent to the makeshift aquarium.

Cayde had set up the various bottles of drinks he'd acquired from their planetary pit-stop and scavenged from the cafe on a somewhat crooked shelf behind the bar itself. He'd been trying to go for rustic like those Old West saloons but in the middle gave up and just let things shape itself as he found them. The glassware is just as mismatched as the furniture, but everything's clean and ready to be made use of. If there's anything he really wishes he had, it would be an old-fashioned phonograph player or some kind of music source just to drive off the quiet that filled the space when no people did.

Was that a fart joke? That was a fart joke. Steve rolled his eyes and sunk his hands into his pockets as he shrugged. "Honestly? I have been away from Earth for so long that I don't even know if I do." He considered it, though. What sort of foods had he become used to in 'Future-but-not-future-America' that he now was doing without? The list of what he actually missed was pretty small, frankly.

All the protein-gel had ruined him.

"I guess I miss shawarma? Oh. And just a really good burger from a diner." Yeah, that would be nice. Real nice. "Pizza wouldn't be so bad, either. Actually..." Steve snorted a laugh at his own memory. "Way back before this place, we were all determined to show Loki and a few other people pizza but we had almost none of the ingredients. It was an abomination. If I ever go back to New York, they're gonna prosecute me for that."

This was going to make whatever they found upstairs a real disappointment, so maybe they shouldn't have gone down this path because there was no realistic way that Cayde had managed to pull together what he called stone age, or whatever, bar food. Just the idea of a burger had Tony closing his eyes, though, nodding slowly, which he thought was painful enough before Steve had to go and say pizza, which made Tony clutch his heart, devastated.

It took a beat, but Tony was breathing his own baffled laugh at the tale, only having the context of the ships to try to picture Steve crammed in the galley kitchen with a bunch of alien ingredients and a very misguided dream. "That's a shame, that's probably his problem, you know, never had a good slice in his life, that does things to a man. I'm thinking about it, and I'm realizing what's really missing is cheese, cheese has no business being that complicated, we're about five years out from making some cheese around here."

"Yes! The whole issue was the cheese!" Steve cringed thinking about the lengths they'd gone through. "We had the dough and Vision had a garden that had some fresh vegetables we could use. But the cheese? And then trying to figure out spices? I think we used cheese flavoring...or something like that. It was terrible. The whole thing was just. Awful."

Steve shook his head, smile light and bittersweet as it ever was thinking back to the Drift Fleet days. He hadn't been there for as long as the others but he had liked his time there as much as any captive could. And he still missed the people he left there.

"What do you think the Agrii would give us if we asked for cheese?"

That smile suggested to Tony that it couldn't have been all that awful, making Tony smile back curiously. That wasn't an expression from Steve that he was familiar with, leaving him with a warm snare of guilt in his chest that he stumbled over, half a step behind in processing Steve's question. "What--just asked?" About as well as asking them for anything had gone, in Tony's experience, which hadn't included the strange soup lies box at all, but did include their enthusiastic party spread. Now that they were back planetside, Tony expected the status quo to return. "A gesture that they know is rude and we can't even see, probably," he proposed.

Maybe Cayde had something to fill the void, though, so Tony motioned for Steve to lead the way into the waterlogged lobby, where he eyed the gifts he had abandoned on the stairs cautiously. Maybe this was ideal, Tony could play it off now and keep on not giving Cayde things.

"I don't know," he said with a small laugh. "The Agrii seemed like they were willing enough to help us out. At the very least we might get a log of goat cheese that tastes like tomato soup. Might be interesting." He nudged Tony with his shoulder. Since Bucky returned his opinion on the Agrii had improved a bit and his mood had improved a lot. Still, he was suspicious as a general default now that he knew the Atroma had something to do with all of this.

But that was all for another time.

In the bar, Steve looked around and let out a low whistle. "Looks like it's coming along," he said diplomatically before his eyes fell on the guitar. That wasn't something he'd seen in quite awhile. Not that he knew how to play it, of course, but anything familiar from home was nice to see.

"There gonna be a band?"

If they were still on the ship, Tony might have been inclined to agree with that positive outlook, but being back planetside had him tipping his head and twisting his mouth skeptically at how much the Agrii were actually willing to help. They hadn't done much helping the rest of the time he had been on this planet, and it felt to him like they had gone right back to being abandoned.

At least they were abandoned with Cayde's industriousness. Tony snorted at Steve's careful observation and opened his arms, eyebrow raised, "Can't believe we made the guest list." They were looking at the highest class establishment in Temba, after all. As Cayde popped up, Tony replied with his own wry grin to greet him as he continued, pointing to the guitar, "A live music event for the grand opening and everything. What do you say, Cap, you want to serenade us with some oldies? You two probably have that in common."
