OTA Log: Sometimes People Hide
WHO: Reeve Tuesti and You
WHERE: He Row Soup Lies
WHAT: Avoiding the storm, tending to others
WHEN: November 6th-11th
WARNINGS: N/A
The Strangest Stuffed Animal
Not all of the stuffed toys lying around amid the blanket are just what they seem. One of them a bipedal, black and white tuxedo cat with a green cape, striding across the room toward the nearest person in a blanket. Somewhere in the background a man in a torn up suit, no doubt messed up by the crash, watches the stuffed animal approach, but doesn't say anything for now. Instead he watches with concern over how the doll moves, limping to whoever is there and reaching out to pat their arm with a pudgy paw.
There there, the doll seems to say. It just wished to provide comfort.
Hot Chocolate and Hiding
He hasn't been outside for days, not since he got here. It had been a burden, it had been a mess, it had been a whole thing. And Reeve, once he'd arrived, had found a place far from the door, sat down with a mug and Mini-C nearby, and watched the door.
It took a lot for him to even consider tearing his eyes from it. Outside was… too dangerous. He couldn't risk it. He had seen his own fears out there, and he didn't wish to face them again.
Reeve sips his cocoa and then jumps to his feet when he sees someone come in. The cocoa is passed off to Mini as Reeve grabs a blanket and heads for the door, ready to throw the blanket over the arrival.
"How is it getting out there? Come, let me get you a bowl of soup and some cider."

And he again doesn't think Tony would have a problem doing this. It would be a nice thing for them to work on with Loki.

"I'm sure we will be working together masterfully. We may want to see about other magic users as well, pool what we have available and figure out how to utilize it best." And at the same time Loki can get an idea about what people and powers he is dealing with.
no subject
"I know only one magic user here who has access to their power," Reeve admits. His own magical skills were not valuable here, and the better part of them couldn't be accessed without tools he didn't have here.
no subject
Of course he's not going to press the matter. But Loki knows well enough to take note of details.
"So, this magic user. Would you happen to know what sort of magic they wield?"
no subject
"No, I have not asked. But the young man has managed feats that seem impossible to me."
no subject
At least for now he should be safe from his more pesky pursuers. And the local Avengers... Well. Maybe he can convince them that he has no idea who they are and that they should just forget about that event in New York that never happened as far as he is concerned.
He takes another sip from his cocoa before shifting the topic a little. "So what else are you doing with your time here? When you aren't hiding from these storms or restoring a city's power?"
no subject
As for his free time. Reeve thinks of Tony and bites his lip.
"I work on reconstruction. Little else."
no subject
At least not yet.
"Alright." The Asgardian gives a small sigh. "I will find a way to entertain myself when I am not occupied with work." And he will. He has no doubt there.
no subject
But his trouble is something he can let go of now. There will be work soon.
"I am sorry you shall not be able to explore, though. People being confined to this place is hard."
no subject
"Though I will admit I wasn't aware of there being any security systems in place to stop us from leaving this... Let's be generous and call it a city. Certainly it used to be one at some point. And don't mind my imploring about said trouble at a later time." As obviously this man has no idea just yet what actual trouble looks like.
no subject
"There are none. But there are things that are not entirely safe outside of the city. There are those that explore them, but that was not what I meant. Being confined to this world, when it is not our own is hard."
no subject
He raises one of his hands up to make a small, inviting gesture. "Once I have full access to my magic again and your little power issue is solved, remind me to introduce you to the Bifrost. The device my people use to travel across the universe in mere seconds. It may be a bold thing to try to achieve, but combining technologies and knowledge from different world may enable us to create something similar."
And if it all only results in a way for Loki alone to leave this planet, that will already be enough for him.
no subject
"The rainbow bridge?"
Thor had mentioned it briefly. It hadn't come when he called int he last place.
no subject
He keeps his eyes on Reeve, but uses one of his hands to indicate a round based and a dome above it. "In Asgard, it's a golden dome set at the edge of our planet. Yes, there are other means to traverse through the realms, but the Bifrost remains the most common and most controlled one."
no subject
And yes, he was admitting that. It had been awkward, but the man had been kind.
"The edge of your planet? Planets don't have edges."
Don't tell him you're a flat-earther, Loki. He'll have troubles with that.
no subject
He then follows with a short, somewhat dismissive gesture. "Asgard isn't a regular planet. It's a realm, known as the Realm Eternal. One landmass, a golden city and a plethora of magic that largely remains untouched. This planet has to baffle one's mind than mere edges." Not necessarily Loki's mind, but those who aren't used to life on Asgard.
no subject
"More to baffle one's mind? Such as what? I assure you, my mind is very sharp."
Sure, it can be baffled, but he doubts it will be as easy.
no subject
"Once this storm is over, my friend. I may use all the colorful words in the nine realms, but visuals - They are rather to be seen."
no subject
no subject
"We will see, won't we?"
no subject
If that magic kid can't get them home, if they can't control the ships to go home, if the Agrii can't get him home... He fears Loki will be disappointed.
