Dwarf Does Data
WHO: Tyrion Lannister and YOU
WHERE: Temba; In General
WHAT: Looking for more of those damned Data Points
WHEN: This takes place after the 'air rows' signs appeared.
WARNINGS: Cursing, most likely.
Tyrion Lannister has a simple coda - 'I drink and I know things'. Well, here on Agra 10, in the lovely abandoned village of Temba ... Tyrion has no liquor to drink and he knows just as much as anyone here. That is going to change, if he has anything to say about it. After he had settled in with his lovely wife once more, he began to carefully hobble around the city proper. He had a short strut of metal, turned into a crutch to help him move around, and on his waist was the Drift Fleet's Engineer belt, with all his tools.
He was methodically marking off each place he had been to with a small 'X', as he searched for more data points to accumulate, you guessed it, information. In fact, you will probably have to yell a few times to capture his attention. He's in the midst of learning, after all.

"That seems to be the majority of this planet - servicable but just barely." He murmured, sliding his light to the left and to the right. He hobbled over to the panel that Bucky had found, and gestured for him to ease it off. "Well then, let's see what we're working with."
no subject
"Yeah," he sighs, because that's definitely the general assessment. He works his fingers into the tiny space between the panel and the larger console, pulling it off once he's got a good grip on it. More dust billows out, making him cough, before he motions for Tyrion to aim the light inside.
"Well... nothing looks chewed to pieces," he murmurs, angling his own head to see as far as he can, before sticking his fingers in and feeling along the guts of the thing - desperately hoping nothing is nested in there. "Feels intact. You see anything around here that looks like an 'on' switch?"
no subject
"Yeah, I see .... this. Here." He was quiet for a moment as he reached in to twist something. So there would be a slight hum, and the pipes starting to rattle slightly.
"Okay, we need to find ... a release valve for the pressure."

Bucky just leans back, happy to let Tyrion have the space he needs to get things, well, moving. And it seems like it works - which has Bucky letting out a relieved breath, although he does essentially snap to attention because, "Yeah, if we blow up the water plant, I don't think anyone's gonna be singing our praises."
Which means he starts scanning the area, because ideally it'll be nearby...
"There," he says, in motion almost as soon as he says it, striding toward another console and brushing off more dust, nose wrinkling. "I think this is it." It's a valve, he can tell that much. When he gets his hands on it, he can tell the wheel is rusted; he's got to adjust his stance and his grip, because breaking the damn thing off isn't going to do any more good than leaving it closed.
But slowly, slowly, he starts to get it moving, without the thing just crumbling in his hands. He keeps up the slow, steady pressure, calling back to Tyrion, "Things looking okay over there? I don't know if this is the only valve."
no subject
"It appears we are on the right track." He called out, "Everything appears to be going to the green - once we hit the right level, I shall have you close off the valve." He noted a few more of the dials, and stated, "This should give us water to the entire town. Barring any pipe leaks, that is."
