"I'll protect them both. What do you expect me to do, run away with the child while leaving the other three unprotected? Even if I did, I don't have a ship to do it in," Ren points out. He's angry about it because he does think the Force-sensitive is more important but at this point, it doesn't matter. All of them live or none of them live.
"Lightsabers don't discriminate. Anything that comes here will be eliminated. Unless, of course, it's one of you. I think I can lift the kill others on sight order in the case of my own teammates."
"I dunno, you tell me. You're the one that said to take care of elf-ears and abandon the other if you have to, or some crap like that."
Raphael slowly leans back, although he still fixes Kylo Ren with a look. "Good. I'll leave you to it then," he says after a moment. It's a second more before he nods and then turns to run towards the other ship they've souped up. Well, kinda souped up. A thought crosses his mind and he skids to a stop and looks back.
Ren hadn't thought about it until just now but he does, pushing at the door to the Starduck and gesturing his way in. "Go on in. You're captain of the ship for now."
He doesn't know why the ships have been coded this way and imagine it's some sort of genetic thing keyed to their individual signatures in the Force - if that's even something measurable here.
He pokes his head in, whistling. "Whoa, Starduck's swanky." He can't help but grin a bit at being named captain. Eat your heart out, Leo.
Stepping past Kylo Ren, he drops into the pilot's seat and starts flipping switches as he goes through flight prep. It won't ever not weird him out at how easily he can figure to do these things, just from touching some orb thingy.
"Lookin' good. We can launch as soon as whoever else is going gets their butts loaded. -are we gonna have problems getting out of the shield or should we be able to pass through?"
He's holding back a bit. It's strange to be working with anyone and not just alongside them for temporary gain or against them. It feels different, just now, and maybe that's because he just had to relinquish something of his own to someone else's care.
"Good Luck," he says, ducking back out so the others can board. "And may the Force be with you."
Raphael tilts his head, just the slightest confusion marring his brow. This is the same guy that had green baby preferences, right?
"Thanks," he says, pausing a little at the addendum before adding, if not a touch awkwardly, "....you too?" Yeah, that's not how it goes but no one's broken him in on this Force business, okay?
