day two, sansa gets dragged home from bad party by sensible direwolf

( lady will yowl for your attention to the door when she brings her queen home, ok, contactless delivery means nothing for direwolves so she's coming in. this servers as a reminder to me that sansa is incapacitated but if anyone wants to deal with the world's worst patient, please tag her. )

Sansa had only just started to look through the files in Hero Control enough to see that the Agrii and the Atroma were at least acquainted to one another if not fully related or in league together and she'd tried to find the files on those of them who had been both places. Just when she thinks she has enough to go back and pass word along to the defense team while the soldier continued to work, she slips out of the room and starts heading back down the corridor.

She isn't anticipating being thrown to the floor and when she comes to, it feels as though her entire body is blossoming in pain. She touches her fingertips to her temple and comes away with blood. She's had worse. She's had much worse. She knows she can stand and get through with what she needs to do before going back.

Sitting is harder than she thinks and she doesn't manage to do it, just manages to pull herself closer against the wall instead. When she thinks she'll just lay down and try again later, she hears the heavy paws of what can only be Lady and when the direwolf comes up close, she yowls for Sansa to see if she's awake.

"I'm awake, Lady, by the Old Gods and the New. You fuss worse than my old septa," she manages, curling her fingers in Lady's thick coat. "I wouldn't leave you. I just can't exactly stand up right now." Sansa thinks her ankle might be twisted so she decides it'll be best if she tries to lean on Lady and crawls down the corridor to where the ship docked. When she manages to get there, she bangs on the door and hopes none of the fields go up or down while she's waiting there; she doesn't want to know what's going to happen if something else goes wrong.

"Someone let me in before Lady destroys the door," she says, just managing to get her voice louder than Lady for a moment. "And you! Quiet! If you want me rescued, you have to make sure you're quiet enough that they can hear me. We don't all speak wolf."

The one that opens the door probably isn't the one that is expected. But come on, he's a go-getter little doll, and with a stick from one of the boxes between his hands, he's damn well useful. It takes some pushing and shoving and pulling, but soon Mini as pushed the stick up in JUST the right away against the wall to hit the door release button.

Stupid being only a foot and a half tall.

Sansa is surprised to see the little doll but she knows that it belongs to Reeve, after the beach, and she sighs in relief. She just manages to stand and limps into the ship, using whatever she can to hold herself up.

"I need the medic, I think, but otherwise I can manage," she calls out, imagining everyone here is working on another task and not babysitting the door.

"There may be some broken bones."

Broken bones? That's not a good thing. The doll wiggles a little, it's only way of showing proper distress before starting to race away. Find the boy with medicine. No, this isn't easy. After a moment he turns around and goes back to the wolf, pulling a little at its fur.

Come, wolf. Help him find and pull the medic back!

"Sansa?" Among the things Tony expected to find when pursuing Mini playing with a stick were maybe a spider or a new hat, making him stare after the doll in bewilderment like this appearance of the battered queen was his fault somehow. Clinging on to what was supposed to be happening, Tony waved for Mini's attention, stop playing with the dog, as he passed, throwing over his shoulder, "Go help Reeve." He was already most of the way to Sansa by then, hands out and careful, reaching for her hands then her shoulders anxiously, not sure what part of her was in pain. Was that blood, was that her blood? "What's happening--who did this?" he asked, voice too high as he looked past her through the doors to what he could direct this anxious panic at.

"I can't put weight on my ankle," Sansa says practically. "You'll need to get my arms around your shoulders. And yes, it's my blood. When the ship was hit, I got slammed against a wall in one of the corridors. My right side is bruised and I hit my head. I've had much worse."

Sansa has had much worse in just one night with Ramsay and then forced to endure more the next.

"My ribs and ankle hurt the most. I'll be fine, I promise."

Mini, who had been very serious about trying to help Sansa, just frowns up at Tony. Not that he can frown. Instead he just has to put his hands on his hips. And then walk off. Oh well. At least sansa will have help.

With nothing better to direct that panic at now, Tony glared after Mini for giving him that attitude then did his best to swallow it with all of the rest of the white noise in his stomach so he could take Sansa's weight as instructed. Carefully at first, letting her navigate her arms and watching where she was sensitive about, and muttering, "Anything to get me to hold you." Assessment complete, he scooped her up off of the floor, cradled to his chest, and only wavered a moment with his eyes closed because it was not the time, and wandered unsteadily toward the ships where there was a distinct blank hole in their arrangement in the shuttle bay where the team had taken on to jet off and probably come back just as bloody. "Where is...why are you alone?" he asked, finding something else to turn that frustration on, not sure which of the others to be angry with for finding Sansa limping on her own through the doors.

"We split into groups," Sansa says, trying her best not to let on how much she actually did hurt. She knew she was getting a lecture regardless but there's pride for her in not showing pain or hurt; if people see you cry, they know how to hurt you.

"When the...when something hit the ship, I was slammed against the wall. It's all right. I've had much worse and I've survived it. I'll survive this too. Besides, if I just wanted you to hold me I wouldn't break my bones to do it. I would just ask and you'd fall over yourself to get to me."

"Groups," Tony parroted irritably, because that seemed to be working out so well, but the frustrated furrow of his brow eased enough for him to give a short laugh for Sansa's assessment. She couldn't have been that bad, not if she was still ready with the incising insights. "How about we keep you off your feet for now, huh? Until we can get this attack over with..."

James' cries could be heard the moment the door to the ship opened, but Tony had to just glance to him as he stepped around the other child to take Sansa by and crouch down next to the Captain's bunk to lay her as gently as possible. Daenerys must have been close, and there wouldn't be much calming the kids, not with the anxiety permeating the shuttle bay. "Okay, let's get a look at you," Tony breathed hurriedly, very aware that another attack could come at any minute, the oxygen was depleting quickly, and Reeve was heading off blind, but turning Sansa's head gently to try to see where the blood was coming from.

"I struck my head," Sansa says, allowing him to turn her head and look at her. It's novel, having someone look after her injuries. It had been different with James because she'd prepared for that and expected the help but this is like any night with Ramsay and she hadn't had anyone looking after her then.

"It's not as bad as it was...as I know it can be. I can still see well even though there is some pain. I don't feel that sick to my stomach, either, and that happened the last time. I think I'll be all right, Tony. You've got important things to do."

"Um-hmm..." Tony agreed, a fine assessment of the damage, as he dragged some of the sheets loose from the bed to pat at the blood and make sure Sansa wasn't still actively bleeding. He watched her eyes as he did, nodding along and only half hearing what she was saying, not sure what to do with 'last time' right now and hoping that wasn't some kind of memory issue that he should have been accounting for because he otherwise really wanted to believe his report, "Doesn't seem like your brain's misaligned, you'll be fine." He worked carefully as he could while moving fast, from there down her right side like she had indicated, feeling for anything out of place or any big reaction as he pressed her shoulder back first, then his fingertips along her flank, eyes half lidded like he was running the calculations of every measurement against how she was supposed to feel, his mapped version of her pliant and easy and a challenging comparison even without the ship's systems sparking along his nerves with every failure and reboot. It made him mutter, "Relax, relax, just making sure, we're going to fix this..." as he worked, like he spoke to one of his machines.

"My ribs hurt. One might be broken," Sansa says, letting Tony run his fingers over her and account for everything. If this is what helped him in the long run, she could be still and let him check her over. While she didn't think her injuries were as important as other tasks that needed to be carried out, a part of her was thrilled at being deemed important enough to care for.

"My ankle is twisted. The rest is going to be all right," she says softly. Perhaps it isn't entirely necessary but Sansa ruffles his hair a bit while he fusses over her.

"When we have time, I'll let you lecture me and fuss over me all you want. You were right and I shouldn't have gone."

It was that ruffle that drew him out of whatever trance had Tony fixated on his work, bringing his focus back up to Sansa's face more clearly and actually listening this time to respond with a lopsided smile and nod of acceptance for this inevitable fate of Sansa's. "As long as we both know you deserve it, and also that I'm always right, we can put a pin in it," he agreed, keeping a hand pressed to Sansa's side a beat longer and watching her anxiously until another spark of warning shot up his spine, making him wince and glance back to the door.

"I'm not going far. We'll figure this out. Don't get into any more trouble," he promised as he rolled to his feet.

"Go be brilliant," Sansa says, her own smile just as lopsided as she looks back at him. There's a lot going on right now on this ship and she doesn't need to keep Tony tied down looking after her when there's a thousand more important things he could be doing.

"You're right this time," she adds. "And I'll keep myself out of trouble for a while so you don't have to worry about me when you're worrying over everything else."
