tingmoonshadowpowers: (What Do You Mean?)

Rayla stared cautiously at Billy. She was slowly getting used to the idea that humans could, indeed, use proper magic without being corrupted. It had been a major shift in her beliefs, for certain. Either way, weapons were good. She honestly felt useless without her blades, so she needed something.

Also, she was beginning to think she was going to have to pick one of those glowy orb sphere things when and if they ever got back to where they'd been. She was starting to feel pretty out of the loop by not.

Still, she went over to investigate said box to see what she could find.

"You'll need to give out people a warning, at least... somehow... without tipping off the enemy," she offered, putting the obvious out there. "If you cut them off, and they decide not to stay together anyway, they should at least know they'll be mostly on their own."

All interesting points. And ones that Reeve cannot argue against. At all.

"In the end I would worry that too much time conversing with them might well consume all the time that they needy to achieve whatever ends they are set about. However, we should definitely advise them before starting the change over."

Reeve sighs and offers Tony a brief nod before lowering himself back to the floor.

"The process will take a while to initiate. I'll start with some of the initial work that won't impair the comm systems, so that the bypass can take place quickly if it is determine that is what we should do. Is this fair?"

Raphael glances over towards the abruptly glowing box, blinking. "Oh, uh. Thanks." That was easy.

He nods along with the elf chick and the other points, but so far he's heard no hard no's. To Reeve, he gives a thumbs-up. "Sounds good to me," he says before turning towards the box Billy had indicated earlier. It's not like he can work on the system, but sitting around waiting is definitely not his style, so he may as well look through things.

Rayla quirked an eyebrow at Reeve's idea of a 'discussion' as she moved over to allow the turtle teen room so they could go through the box together. And, of course, Tony suggesting keeping the team together. She gestured at the screen showing that two people had already separated from the main rescue group.

"What about those two?" she asked. "We don't need to have a big discussion about it with them. Just give them warning and then do it, right?"

Rayla was all about getting things done.

If it was Tony with his hands in the machine like it should have been, the override would have been done already and this little meeting would have been more informative than reciprocal, if it happened at all. Reeve was too hesitant, and 'just give them a warning and do it' was a better use of their time, so Tony's attention slid to the girl curiously. "Sorry, who are you?" he asked, then turned to the screen she had indicated, impatient. That breakout team was Catra and whoever Cayde had said went with her, and Tony had a feeling that was going to be an ongoing problem--hopefully, letting that feral kitten know she'd be cut off would minimize the urge to scamper off at least a little bit. "If it's looking like they're struggling to coordinate themselves, we can always start locking doors," he offered. That was what control of the ship really meant. Not just the systems, but what the systems controlled. "Let them know, get it done. We can debate whether or not this motley crew is a democracy some other time."

"Tell them what we're doing. Nothing will get done if we're trying to vote with them and among ourselves," Ren says, voice cutting over some of the others. He's used to being in charge and having to vote for things and listen to the input of others is grating to him. Still, he's trying to play by the rules for now.

"They can adapt same as we can. They wouldn't have chosen to be where they are if they couldn't handle it, same as why we chose to be here."

Agreeing with someone instead of telling someone something is new and he doesn't know if it's going to become a habit of his. He certainly hopes not.

"What he said," Raphael snaps as he thumbs back at Kylo Ren, his focus otherwise still upon things in the box. Do things now, explain later. As they can. The comm thing is the issue, after all, but it doesn't mean they're entirely cut off.

That said, Raph's not offering to inform anyone unless someone tells him he should. He's busy trying to figure out what any of the things in the box are, though.

"Well aren't we all imperious with decisions," Reeve mumbles to himself as he returns to the task at hand. Seems like a decision was made and he was going to have a lot of work to do to get himself to the point of ready to flip the switch.

"Someone contact the other teams to advise them of the decision. You can choose to delay until I say I'm about ten minutes out, but giving them more time to ensure they are aware of the decision would be reasonable."

Rayla glanced at Tony, glad at least that most people seemed to be of the same mind as her in this case.

"Name's Rayla," she said quickly to him, leaving it at that for now. They could do a 'get to know you' once all this was finished.

As for contacting the other teams... she'd leave that someone else. She wasn't good with tech, okay?
