Event: The Preparation
Your ship has been traveling for some time now. Finally, on Wednesday, August 5, you've reached the coordinates for the portal. Right before you is what looks almost like a tear. It is wide enough for a vessel many times your size and has a blue light coming through it. If seeing it now gives you second thoughts about going through, it is unfortunately too late to change your mind. Your ship is drawn in. One by one, the shuttles pass through, disappearing from your sight. And then it is your turn. The tear swallows you up and there is a flash of light that seems to stream straight through your ship.
And then it’s over.
You’re on the other side and it looks like the same open space and stars you’d travelled before. Only this time, your shuttles are not alone.
In front of you is a giant vessel, unmoving, unlit, just sitting in space like a stubborn rock. It is long and vaguely oval-shaped. The middle of it has a large pane of glass that covers it from one side all the way to the other. It looks large enough to hold a large city. Maybe even a small state. But there is no indication that it has anyone on board nor, if there was someone on board, that they saw them arrive.
On one side, there is what looks like a hole punched into the metal. Anyone who came from a universe strong in the Force will immediately recognize it as a shuttlebay. They can lead the way and show how a shuttle can just fly through the forcefield and land safely in the empty room.
The ship is safe to walk in without any equipment. As soon as you leave your shuttles and begin to look around, your communicator alerts you to a message. It’s a voice message from Ga Re and she sounds scared:
If you mess-age get, he-rows are here. I stay in core room. No take yet. Me last left. No know why.
She pauses and there is a soft almost singing in the background. Like music trying to soothe her.
Me think core Ga Re keep safe. Noise heard in ship. Not Agrii here. Think Not-Agrii took Agrii. Please help. He-rows. Please help. Agrii alone. Ga Re alone.
You all have.
The message cuts out. It’s not as helpful as it could have been. Only says that Ga Re is alone with the ‘core’ and there are apparently other people on their ship. It’s not much to go on but it is all you have.
The next steps are up to you.
There are three possible groups that your character will join with:
The Rescuers
The Investigators
The Defenders
The Rescuers are going to be going after whoever is on this ship. This group will benefit from security and potentially medical expertise. Their job is going to be to locate and confront the intruders as needed. Will they be hostile? Will this be a fight? That remains to be seen but you should be prepared for anything. As a secondary priority, you will also be making a distraction for the Investigators so they can do what they need to. Both are critical for the mission’s success. This option will have the high possibility of your character getting injured. Please keep that in mind if selecting the option.
The Investigators are the spy group. This group will need communications and potentially agriculture and engineering expertise. Their job is going to be reconnaissance and infiltration. We all have many questions about the Agrii and what has been going on. This may be your one chance to find the answers. As a secondary priority, you will also have the option to smuggle items off the ship, if desired. This does not need to be done and will be limited to only certain established items. Be quick, quiet, and watch your own back, spies.
The Defenders are the support for all of the other teams. This group will need medical as well as potentially communications and piloting. Their job is to guard the shuttles and help any member of the other teams as they need. The injured will be coming to you, if there are any. The Investigators may contact you for long-distance support or for critical distractions. This option is also available for anyone who wishes to opt out of the event completely. Characters who opt out will be able to stay with the shuttle and interact at the base. However, please make it clear if you are opting out or not so the other teams know.
Choose your teams now with the groupings in the comments below. There will not be group-switching unless directly stated in the event.
This event will be HEAVILY guided by your character’s choices and your choices as a group. Please keep that in mind. PLEASE make use of the group plotting space here and on the updates. We cannot stress enough that the outcome will be decided by your choices as a group.
The event will run for four weeks with plot updates every Wednesday, starting this Wednesday, August 5, which will kick off the main event.
Failure is an option.
And then it’s over.

Questions go here!

You don't have to have answers right away, but you know I'm going to have a lot about the ship's networks.
Are any of them closed?
Is it all wireless?
Is there any reason Tony can't access any of them?
And what is he going to tap into if there's no OOC restrictions?
He'll be most immediately interested in any security systems, especially if he can use them to observe other PCs. Then ship functions, then information, natch.

Re: Questions go here!
Can he phase through things in the Agri ships? Important because as a scout, it could be useful for getting through doors in unexpected manners.

Also the idea of something happening to their ships and leaving them stranded is Not a happy thought. He really hates space.
