WHO: Kylo Ren
WHERE: ocean planet
WHAT: sulking
WHEN: 29 July-3 August
WARNINGS: kylo ren
At least it wasn't a wasteland like Tatooine or Jakku. That's the only positive thing Ren has to say about this planet. It has a nice oceanfront and though the leather smells terrible and isn't even worth the effort, he's able to stock up on actual food (jerky, but better than nothing) and has time to be outside the confines of a ship or another wasteland of a planet.
He's on the beach (because, really, what other choice is there on an ocean planet) but he'd managed to obtain lighter clothing. It isn't black but the loose linen shirt and pants in muted blues and tan are better than anything else he saw on offer.
He tries to skip a shell along the edge of the waves the way his father used to do over lakes and rivers in Ord Mantell and fails miserably. He'd never been good at it, even with the Force, and his father had said using the Force was cheating anyway.
"Damn shells aren't flat enough," he mutters, rolling his eyes. "I need something smooth."

"I like this look on you," he notes, toeing at a nearby rock, keeping his distance, still wary. "Very imposing."
no subject
"They have nothing I can wear. These were the closest I could manage. I didn't choose them."
no subject
"No, it's great. I think this should be your new look."

"The only thing this place has going for it is that it isn't Jakku or Tatooine."

The playful banter is easy to fall back into, but Poe isn't quite as at ease as he might be pretending.
"...The last time you were here you tried to kill me," he notes finally, "Not that killing me would be out of character or anything, but...you don't seem as intent on doing that..."

He's never been just no one.
"With you here, I'm at least something, even if that something is diametrically opposed to what you are."
no subject
"I thought you were all about killing the past."
no subject
"But I have no one to remind me of that if you're not here so you have to stay alive."
no subject
"Have to?" he repeats with an edge of that teasing grin, fixing him with a pointed look at the implication of that. Had Ren gone from Hunter to Protector?
no subject
"OH! Look at you! Ohhhhh- This is worth being stuck with the stupid water! Ha!"
no subject
"None of the clothes here fit because I'm too tall. You wouldn't have that problem, would you?"
no subject
"Seriously, why'd you have to land us here? There was a whole other planet with basically no water."
no subject
"When you've been on desert and ice planets, water can be a relief. The choice was intentional. Does your species not like water?"

This planet isn't his home planet but what, really, is his home planet? Ben Solo grew up in a variety of places from Chandrila all over the known worlds, wherever his mother needed to take him. His home is space more than anything else.
"My species can adapt to anything. But I don't like sand."

"...You ever heard of a place called Etheria?"
no subject
"It doesn't. Is it a desert planet, Etheria?"
