Mini-Event: Pit Stop!
Hello, heroes! Are you enjoying your voyage ~into the unknown~? We hope so!
But what's this? On the morning of July 29, your ship's navigation system pings: You're approaching a star system with two habitable planets. Scans show the planets are inhabited by advanced civilizations and appear peaceful. Within moments of making your scans, you receive a message:
"Welcome to the Tarf system. Our worlds are peaceful and open to trade."
It's time for the mini-event to begin! From July 29-August 3, you can opt to have your ship stop in the star system and visit one or both of the planets. One planet is largely a water world, with vast oceans, tropical weather, and only one large, inhabited land mass near the equator. The other is a little hotter and more arid, with desertlike weather but plenty of oases and trading posts, mostly surrounding large lakes and inland seas.
The inhabitants of both worlds are humanoid. They're friendly and welcoming. They don't use money, but are happy to trade or barter for supplies. You can opt to barter goods you may have (extra pillows, chairs, something you picked up on Risa, etc.), or services (including odd jobs and entertainment such as storytelling, singing, or acrobatics). Anything is fair game!
No one knows who the Agrii are if you ask; neither do they know of any of your homeworlds or species.
But don't get too comfortable. By August 3, your communicators will replay the message from Ga Re. Huh. It's almost like you're being told to get back underway.
(If you need further IC prompting, the ships almost seem to have a mind of their own. They're powering up, almost like eager pets, even if there's a pilot on board. It's like the controls are, well, in control. If you don't get back on board, you may be left behind.)
OOC NOTES:
The event will last from July 29-August 3. By the end of the day on August 3, characters will need to hop back on your ships and get going again. Remember, you'll arrive August 5 at your destination: the portal you've been heading for this whole time.
This short event is meant to be a pit stop, not a vacation. Don't plan any long jobs or fall in love with a local (or do, just… know your heart's gonna get broken).

Everything is available on both planets, so you don't need to planet-hop to resupply (unless you want to, in which case, feel free).

- Cured meats that all taste like peach. Why? Who knows. It just does.
- There are also fruits and vegetables with varied tastes, textures, and smells. Unfortunately, they all have spiky rinds on them so you'll need to work for your sweet, sweet fruit. None have any strange effect on characters.
- There are plenty of drinks and a plethora of alcohols. They are very, very strong. Don't die.
- Oh, and don't drink the Kiff Milk. Don't ask why. Just don't.
Available weapons:
- Knives, bows and arrows, swords, and other manual weapons.
- No blasters/phasers/machine guns/rocket launchers.
Available supplies:
- There are no personal trinkets to be found. These planets are intentionally stocked for the basics that travelers need.
- There are a few stores that have engineering pieces that can be purchased and made into a laser gun, cauterizer, or a pong game. (Pong is universal.)
- Other items include things like clothing, cloth or leather armor, tools (largely manual), and very basic medical supplies — bandages, pills that take care of headaches and stomachaches, one pill that will stop the absolutely epic issues you will have if you ignore the warning and drink Kiff Milk.
- Also, the leather smells horrible. Like really, really bad. Rotten durian bad. You might want to air it out.
Everything is available on both planets, so you don't need to planet-hop to resupply (unless you want to, in which case, feel free).
