The Library

WHO: Cloud Strife [personal profile] backoff and Jonathan Sims [personal profile] beholding_archivist
WHERE: The Library
WHAT: A therapy try from Jonathan and Cloud has something to give to Jonathan
WHEN: Right before Jon goes on his diving expedition
WARNINGS: None right now

A visit to the library can finally happen. After being freed from the tunnels, Cloud went off to take care of tasks. Checking up on the replicator before leaving it as it was for Reeve to check when he got too. He makes his ways to the building of the library slowly trying to take in the location so he could always find it again if he ever needed to.

Cloud had told Jon that he would write about the Lifestream but he included two extra subjects to go along with that information. Their time within Jon's calibration room had been unexpected. Cloud had given a statement that still lingers with him since anything to do with Aerith would stay fresh.

Cloud enters the library as soon as he makes it to the doors. He feels a little tense since the last library he set eyes on was the one in Nibelheim. He takes out the papers from his back pocket holding them and walking around the inside.

There wasn't a lot of exploring done before ending up within the tunnel. He stops at the back looking at anything remotely interesting there. If anything he's unrolling and rolling the papers he's going to hand over to Jon. He stops after realizing what he had been doing. He could keep himself busy in here for a couple of hours a day.
beholding_archivist: Do not take. Thanks. (Smug little Archivist)

"Oh, thanks a lot!" Jon exclaims as he accepts the papers and gives them a very quick look over. Starting to read them now might not be in their current interest, considering Jon tends to find it hard to stop reading something once he's started.

He smiles lightly at Cloud, carefully handing the sheets in his hands. "You didn't come here only to deliver these, though." No. Not when Jon takes a moment to recall their conversation while they were stuck in his head.

Jon just shakes his head and neatly folds the papers in the middle for now to keep himself from trying to read them right away. "No, it's alright. I actually just finished moving my office into a separate room. We can go there, if you like. Have a talk over some tea." Because talking was what this is supposed to be about. Specifically Cloud talking and Jon listening.

Jon gestures for Cloud to follow him and walks back the way he has come to meet his guest. "Have you recovered a little from being locked up all these weeks?" Yes, he can totally make this sound as if no one but Cloud has been affected.
beholding_archivist: Do not take. Thanks. (This is all the smile you get.)

"Keeping busy. Right. That's never wrong." Jon nods and opens a door in the back of the library, gestures for Cloud to step inside before following himself.

It's not a massive room by any means. Maybe a little bigger than the office Jon has had in his mindspace. It's certainly lighter, however. One wall is taken up by shelves that have taken the Archivist some effort to push in there and unlike in the dream these shelves are sparsely occupied by anything. Several folders are stacked in some of them. And tapes, of course. Plenty of tapes. Even two additional tape recorders of a distinctly different model than the on Jon tends to carry around with himself.

He has his desk pushed in there along with his chair and on the side opposite of the shelves is a small setup with somewhat more comfortable chairs and a table.

One corner is occupied by a small, more counter-like table. Which obviously is where Jon is preparing his tea. This Archivist obviously has been making himself at home in the library.

"Please, take a seat."
