You can't hide from your problems | Calibrations
WHO: Billy Kaplan, OPEN
WHERE: Billy's Calibration Room
WHAT: Calibrations
WHEN: 3 June - 10 June
WARNINGS: Potential Warnings for Violence, Depression, Death and Suicide, but also some happy things
The room you step into isn't all that different from Billy's actually room back home, for those that know it. It looks like the room of a typical nerdy teenager, walls adorned with posters of his favourite heroes, and a desk cluttered with unfinished homework. There's shelves with books, and assorted action figures, as well as a few old games- like operation, which don't seem to have gotten much attention lately, covered in a layer of dust.
Billy lays on his bed with an assortment of comics, reading through them, though when he glances up you might note that his eyes are wrong. All black with fields of stars, like you can see the depths of universe in them.
He curls a finger, and a box beneath the bed scoots further back into the darkness.

There's most definitely a plethora of Captain America stuff, though the costume probably looks a little closer to what Steve was used to wearing during his USO tours then what he wore as an actual Avenger. There's other familiar faces, Thor, Iron Man, and so many more, all different enough from the versions Steve would have known, but recognizable.
"I think I'm dreaming?" he supplies, a little less sure.

"Yeah. I mean, in a way you are? And so am I..."
The room and the toys and Billy all just put Steve at ease. It's easier now to forget that this is Calibrations, which would be a good thing, normally. Unfortunately, Steve forgets enough that he picks the figurine of himself up and turns it over in his had.
He should know better than to touch things.

"What happened?" he demands.
"You-- you're Captain America--" one of the gathered teenagers gasps.
"What happened to Cassie?" he repeats.
"She got upset," she supplies finally, "She started growing, and then she kind of...passed out."
"What upset her?" Iron Man asks, and Teddy (who looks a little more Hulk like than Cap may have seen him, and a lot less blonde) answers sheepishly, "Um...we did. She wanted us to let her into the mansion so she could get her dad's Ant Man costume--"
The Billy that isn't part of this memory looks a little embarrassed. "...This is the first time I met you," he explains.
(ooc: This part of the comics if you want visuals.)

"The first time? I don't know how good of a meeting it was. Looks like I am scolding you." He remembers Scott and his daughter. The idea that she can grow is a strange one. Must be unique to this universe.
"Did we talk? You and me?"

"Yeah, you weren't exactly thrilled to find out what we were doing," he agrees, "You come around...eventually."
Inside, Jessica informs a cross armed Captain America, "Iron Man's taking Cassie up to her dad's room."
"So, except for Cassie, is this all of you?" he demands of the teens, "Or are there more Young Avengers running around out there?"
"No Sir, this is all of us," Iron Lad answers, gesturing to them each in turn. "Patriot. Asgardian-"
That seems to be Billy, who smiles despite the trouble they're in and greets- "It's an honor, Sir-"
"Please," Patriot seems to roll his eyes behind his mask.
"And this is Hulkling," Iron Lad continues. Kate coughs pointedly. "And this is the young lady who saved our lives at the cathedral," he corrects, gesturing to her.
"But you're not a Young Avenger?" Cap confirms.
"No, Sir. The boys have a strict, sexist, no super-girls allowed policy.
"That's not true!" Iron Lad argues.
"Then why is Cassie not a Young Avenger?" she presses.
"Because she wasn't part of the Avengers Failsafe Program."
Jessica frowns and looks to Cap. "There's an Avengers Failsafe Program?"
He frowns in turn. "Not that I'm aware of. Where did it come from? Kang?"
"No Sir, the Vision," Iron Lad explains.
