A: Hollow Ships

[ Cloud has only ever seen one rocket before and seen space for a short period of time. After being here for a while, he wanted to go exploring towards the spaceships. Cid would have gotten a kick out of them and probably would want to know everything about it. Cloud's curiosity was mostly to venture out, look at them, maybe learn something. He's quiet as he stays outside of the ships, silently looking over the shape and make of them. ]

Shinra would have a field day with this.

[ It's a small side comment, particularly stated at no one. Cloud could be surprised by anyone willing to listen in to his private side conversations with himself out loud. He goes up to one of the doors and places a gloved hand upon it. However, the door doesn't respond nor does it open. He tilts his head to the side while lifting an eyebrow. Interesting. ]

[ When the feed comes on, Cloud's eyes are downward. He doesn't seem all that happy about recording. It's easier and quicker and harder to not hit send. ]

My name is Cloud Strife. How can someone find spare parts for a motorcycle if they ever need them?

[ A question that may be relevant. He pauses a little as his eyebrows knit towards the center. Cloud has to continue to make connections even here. So, he's going to also offer in the help he's been used to doing back home. ]

Does anyone need or want someone to make deliveries?

Me? Oh, I.... I currently help with the hospital. But I... I try to collect data and set up the library as a... A place where we can pool information.

Who else works at the hospital? What sort of information at you collecting?

Billy and Wen Ning. Both have taken on the job recently.

As for the other question... Everything. The library got entirely destroyed.

[backoff]

What places didn't get destroyed? How are you taking the information and providing it into the library?

Have you... Looked around yourself? There isn't exactly a list for this. You just go into a building and try to figure out what it is.

[ The part where the Agrii have no written language leaves it all to your interpretation, Cloud. ]

And I watch. And listen. And record. It may be old-fashioned, but... It will have to do.

I have. I'm not in architect. I'll leave that up to someone who is.

I thought it would be all writing. [ It's a library. Books is the first thing that comes to mind. ] How long have you been here?

Well, I am no medical professional and yet am currently in charge of the hospital.

[ Simply because it needs to be done. ]

And I write things down, don't worry. But the Agrii... They don't write. At all. Attempts at replicating our written language may well be their first attempts at using one. But I hope to be able to... Teach them properly.

As for how long... Months, probably. Time is... Difficult here.

[ He makes a short, unamused noise. ]

I don't want to. I am-- Hardly of any use here, even. But someone has to do it. We don't exactly have the luxury right now to be picky.

[ And he will leave the moment some people with actual medical skills are willing to take over. ]

And you will find out, I suppose. Our respective worlds each have their own calendars and measurements of time. Obviously there are no real calendars currently available for this planet. And after... Months?

It eventually gets difficult to keep track.

You're making that choice. You're not providing a list of what we need here. My skills won't do any good in a hospital.

[ He'll be picky where he needs to be picky. Not take on a job where he's trained in skills where he could kill people. ]

I will on my own the longer I'm here. But I'm trying to make sense of how things work here. [ Cloud was getting information in some way and he knew the other didn't need to give it. ]

W-wait. Why am I supposed to be providing any lists now?

[ Is he supposed to me keeping lists? Keep track on what people do, what projects are being worked on, what.... Well. Maybe he should. Maybe... He really should.

He will still give an indignant huff. ]

I'm an archivist. What do you think my qualifications are in regards of medical care?

If not you, someone should. I won't be doing it so don't ask.

[ He's not about to pick up a job that he doesn't know how to do. Cloud's been through enough shame, embarrassment, throughout his life. If anything he'll end up not doing anything until he's needed or until he figures what what they need. ]

My skills are in combat and security. Gather information? I'm sure you still can in a hospital.

Jesus Christ, aren't we full of demands with nothing worthwhile to offer in return.

[ Yeah, he's not impressed. Have fun trying to fight the next storm. ]

But have it your way, Mr. Strife. I can compile those lists - But it will be up to you to find something of equivalent value to trade for them.

How am I being demanding?

[ He's only stating certain things because he's been tasked with his own word doings! ]

Are we making a deal? [ Cloud doesn't seem bothered by this at all. ]

Whether or not we will be having a deal depends on what you end up offering.

[ And he's not even going to answer that first question.

Instead, he simply ends the conversation. ]
