[Poe's been working on something, and the weather is finally cooperating well enough that he feels he can show it off. The sun shines down on him, and he grins at the camera from his set up on a small hill in a clearing.]

Anyone want to learn how to fly?

[He turns the view to show off the glider he's built, a mix of scavenged pieces and replicator parts, but it doesn't look half bad.]

Used to do this all the time back home. I know I promised a few of you piloting lessons; this isn't quite the same, but it's a pretty good starting place.

[He pings his location on the map.]

[Tommy's there within moments, and he's digging around in his pockets.]

You, Po-Boy! Weeble! Where are you exactly?

[BB-8's rushing to meet him, from their place at the base of the hill, CC-9 and Poe bringing up the rear, Poe offering a small wave.]

[Oh look at the littlest guy. Tommy's glad he pre-emptively made more when he heard Weeble had a sibling now. He grins and waves at Poe before flopping down to sit and be more on BB's level. Rude to just talk to the guy while looming over him.]

How is my favorite droid-bro? Your little sibling being good? You keeping Poe safe after all our Risa drama?

[BB-8 nods his head plate, swiveling back to look towards his companions and giving a trill, beeps a little slower that normal for Tommy's benefit as he nudges at him fondly.]

He says thank you. [Poe translates, though the gesture probably says enough. BB-8 is still grateful to Tommy for rescuing his Master.]

[Thank you. Tommy tries to memorize the noise.]

Yeah, you're welcome. But I'm glad he's staying out of trouble now. I've got a gift for you both.

[Poe gives a small scoff. It wasn't like he went looking for trouble before. He's been surprisingly good about not running head long into danger here.

BB meanwhile swivels in question, giving an excited whistle.]

[Tommy grins and pulls some items out of pocket. They're simple things, little wooden discs he's carved clumsy words into.

[The droid gives a delighted trill, spinning on the spot, and he extracts his pincher arm eagerly to examine it for himself. Poe beams, crouching to give BB-8 a fond pat.]

He's never going to leave you alone now.

[doubled_speed]

[Tommy happily relinquishes the 'medal' before standing and fishing out two more.]

Thing is, he's not the only one doing well. These are for you two.

[Poe put up with a lot of shit. And the new droid, well, he didn't want the little one feelign left out.]

[Accepting the 'medals', Poe's lips quirk, and he breaths out a small laugh, more touched than he imagined he would have been by the gesture, holding CC-9's up so they could see.]

You really didn't have to, Tommy-

Yeah. I did.

[Tommy doesn't even believe that Poe really believes that. Of course he had to do it, because no one else ever did for Poe, right? And the guy is a good guy.]

[Promotions, sure, but never anything quite like this.]
