[The message posted is a very brief one, and for anyone who has seen Reeve before, definitely not in character. The man looks to be in no small amount of pain, his head in one hand, his teeth grit, tears stinging at the corners of his eyes. Even when he speaks, his voice is clearly gasped out through pain.]
Has anyone... seen a little black and white
[His voice breaks as he curls up just a bit and clearly the image gets too close and a lot of his hair because his hand holding the phone has gone to his head too. And then after a moment of labored breathing the communicator is lowered back to where Reeve can be seen. But not centered now. Sorry, he's not looking closely.]
Cat. Stuffed animal. About six inches tall, responds to 'Mini-C'. At least twenty meters from the main fountain. Probably further away.
[Another flash of pain across the man's face.]
Please, if you've seen him, bring him to me.

Not sure. Will hurt more if not.
[This isn't exactly a perfect science. It isn't science. It's magic. Soul magic.]

[He tries to step up the speed just a little, see how Reeve takes.]
We getting warmer?
no subject
Either it's better, or it's a placebo.
no subject
Let's hope for the former. We gotta teach Mini other games besides hide-n-seek.
no subject
He didn't mean it.
[Rude can't help but be defensive of the little guy. Sure, he's playful and excited about the world, but Mini-C would never want to hurt him.]

[Cayde looks around as they continue, but he realizes that something so small and light as Mini-C isn't going to leave much of a visible trail to follow. He slows a little, hoping to give Reeve more of a chance to suss out the doll's location.]
no subject
[Yes, it is feeling a little better in this direction. Less like his head is in several vice grips and is now less vices.]
He's a child, though. And so limited compared to his brother.
no subject
[He jests, and if it isn't obvious enough by his tone, he offers a wink besides.]
Ruined cities aren't exactly the greatest places for kids to be wandering alone. At least he wasn't by the lake thingy.
no subject
He's light enough to float if he was by the lake.
no subject
Oh. Well then. ...won't he soak though? Eh- we'll worry about that later.
We getting close?
no subject
Easier to breathe. Yeah. Probably this way. Still... hurts. A lot.
no subject
[That's if the little guy's still able to move, but with Reeve already struggling as he is, Cayde won't bring up that possibility.]
Oh good. Let's see. Was he trying to climb anything before you lost contact with him or was his path pretty straightforward.
[The little guy hadn't been much of a climber from what he recalls, although he supposes scaling small mounds or broken foundations isn't completely impossible.]
no subject
[Poor Mini-Ca can only carry things by gripping them to his chest.]
I... don't think he was trying to. He's harder to be with when he's further.
no subject
[Although his is more a raggedy scarf at this point.]
Hm. Well, looking around here, there only seem so many places a little guy like that can go. ...I really hope it's not the hole.
no subject
[Cait Sith always had a cape and crown, not to mention boots. Then again, Cait Sith had been a full on robot, and far more independent than his little brother now is.]
Each step makes the pain less. This is, if nothing else, the general correct path. but for him to have crossed the limits so fast and not been able to return, something must have fallen. Him or something onto him.
no subject
[Cayde nods thoughtfully as he continues to monitor the surroundings as they go.]
Given the state of some of the buildings, not something to be ruled out if something's collapsed. Hope he's all right.
no subject
[That would end the pain.]
no subject
[He'd feel bad if it were otherwise. He kind of likes the little guy!]
no subject
He's still insensible from concern. But... he's within twenty-five yards. The pain is mostly gone. I need... a moment to focus.
no subject
Alrighty. Let me know when you've got our next heading.
no subject
It's dark. Or, very dim? He doesn't have good gauge of the difference. There is concrete or something like it around him. And dust. He's... He says it's slightly damp. But I can't get more. He fell, and he's stuck.
no subject
[Cayde looks about again.]
You can't tell the direction?

I shall try not to fall as well.
