[A - Markets]

He had to visit eventually- searching for supplies that would be useful once they returned to Agra 10, but also searching for some items not related to survival alone. While wandering, he kept his senses reaching far, feeling the peaceful emotions of all around him while he wandered- while also keeping an eye out for anyone familiar, be it only slightly so, or very much so.

The Sith was determined to at least enjoy part of this vacation while they had it.

[B - Gardens]

Chiss were not made to handle heat- even mixed breeds like himself. Altair didn't know what his family had been before his parents, and his grandparents, but he knew they could not all be fully Chiss- logistically, it was impossible. Aloysius had been a pureblood, Altair was sure, given how the Empire had been even more anti-alien back in those days- but then, it had been nearly two-thousand years since Aloysius had died so if there was pure Sith blood in his veins, it was so diluted it might as well not be there.

Still, the Chiss in him was indeed not good with heat- and as such, he found himself down in the glowing gardens, where it was cooler.

He could be found wandering about with a sketchbook and pen- drawing the different plants he saw. Having grown quite fond of the medium of paper and pen.

Every now and then, he'd also find a bug or two, and stop to fawn over it- even picking some up to inspect the creatures more closely. One could think him insane, given that he would speak to any bug he wasn't familiar with in rather the way one would speak to something utterly adorable.

"Why hello there, aren't you a beauty..." and "Oh, look at you... Don't think I've seen one like you before... Care to hold still while I draw you?"

Even on Agra 10, he'd been a bug lover. Here, with the relative safety, he felt okay to let that show just a bit.

[C - Meditation]

Risa, being what it was, was perfect for it.

Anywhere it was nice to sit down- places with pristine nature, a somewhat less traveled path with benches, down on the beach- he could be found in deep meditation, cross-legged, and breathing.

Speaking, too, when he thought himself alone enough- reciting the Sith Code as he always did, when he felt the need to meditate, clear his head, calm himself.

"Peace is a lie, there is only passion...

Yes, my sense of time is very askew right now. I just didn't want to not see what Risa was like while we were here. What do they have to offer here? I know you've been exploring the place a lot more. I've never done anything like this before...

[Hux reluctantly admitted. He's explored planets before but it was always as a General and on buisness. He never explored it was a regular person or ever had a vacation. He had dedicated most of his time to First Order. It felt strange and rather selfish to a degree to finally indulge on his own desires.]

There are gardens we could visit. The markets, should we want to do some shopping... Restaurants, nightclubs... That last one might not be quite our scene.

[He hadn't really visited any, at any rate.]

The beaches here are quite pretty, but I think I might actually die if we sit in the sun too long...

[That was a joke.

Sort of. The heat wasn't exactly easy on him, but he could manage. If they stayed much longer he should probably consider dressing down, but he was much too used to being fully covered.]

The first three choices sound good. [He made a face at the mention of a nightclub. No thanks.]

We have a beach back at Agra so I really don't want to visit one here. I also don't fair too well in the heat. My home planet was always either rain and storms or cloudy at best. It never really got hot.

[Altair couldn't help but laugh a little at the face Hux made. It was cute, that it could get him to react so strongly with how unappealing the idea was to him.] Now there was a face that told me all I needed to know.

[It's not said in a mocking way, of course.] Not that I don't get it.

[He nods then.] With me being Chiss, I'm sure you already know how I feel about heat... Stars I hope summers on Agra 10 aren't hot.

[If they were, he might be the person most in need of a functional hospital.]

Copero wasn't too cold though... I... Visited the Ascendancy, when I went home. It was...

[He probably doesn't have to say it. He's sure his face says it all, that he had been terrified.]

[The commented earned a small chuckle from Hux. Altair had always been the one person he could feel at ease around and not have to keep up a tough exterior around. He enjoyed the rare moments like this.]

Were you at least able to satisfy your curiosity about your people? I'm aware you've always wanted to know more about them, but you had been hesitant due to your past.

[He reached over to place a comforting hand on his partner's shoulder knowing the topic wasn't easy.]

I wasn't. There are Chiss in the Alliance, who've left the Ascendancy to join my cause. I even have allies in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force. But... They made it pretty clear that I don't belong there. And that was before I killed one of their Syndics.

[He regrets it now. A little. Still, his desires mean very little, and what the Alliance needed meant everything to him at the time.]

Being told that my people see Force-sensitivity as impurity... It was a lesson I didn't need to learn again. It still hurts, though.

[That he can be so rejected by the people who look like him. It shouldn't matter. The Ascendancy has never been his home, and its people have never truly been his.

But it stung. To be so thoroughly rejected when he'd wanted to belong. He took a breath, to keep himself from giving into the desire to cry. Being with Hux, being able to talk about it... He should focus on how lucky he was instead.] It doesn't really matter, I suppose.

[It sort of did, but it was a conversation for another time.] Do you want to go shopping for some clothes? Maybe we can find something that's a bit more your style.

In so many ways we have a lot in common. Yet, despite everything you've managed to climb your way up to the top. They're the ones missing out and will eventually have to come to you.

[He gave a wary sigh as he stared at the somewhat ill fitted clothing he wore.] I suppose we should worry about that first....Although, I don't know what my style would be.

I had many allies helping me on my way. Had it not been for them, I would have died long ago.

[Hell, had it not been for his dead ancestor waking from his grave to scream at him, he would have died long, long ago.] I don't really care what the Ascendancy thinks of me. It's sad that most of the people who look like me reject me so completely, but it's not like that's anything new.

[And there are some Chiss in his Alliance. People who don't care that he's Force-sensitive, who look to him to lead.

It's enough.] And I'm sure we'll find something that suits you.

[Best to focus on that.]

[Oh he knew all about being rejected. Most of the people in First Order hated him aside from the younger generation.

He gave a simple nod and quietly walked alongside Altair till they found a clothing shop that seemed promising. At least stepping into shop helped with everything not being so overwhelming... He was able to focus on what was before him. Even though he didn't have a clue of what to get.]

[The clothing shop was an adequate distraction, a good way to get thoughts over on something more positive. Though he stayed where Hux could see him, he did move away to see if he could find something that would suit the other man.

He imagined that he would prefer something a bit more formal-looking, and most likely in dark colors- Hux was near the opposite of him when it came to clothing, after all.

Something tailored, and dark. That seemed like something that would suit him.]

[Thankfully the shop keeper stepped in and helped lead Altair and Hux to the various clothing at the prompts Altair was able to give them. It helped keep the shopping trip less painful. With this being such new territory for him, it was hard for Hux to make decisions and by narrowing down the list of options it made picking something easier for him.

He did agree with the choices Altair had made though preferring the tailored look and the dark clothing. Which lead to a more buisness casual look. In the end they were able to pick out four different outfits that could be mixed.]

We should get you a few sets of clothing too, Altair.

I imagine going around looking like this would be an issue, yes. White is a nightmare to keep clean on the best of days.

[Altair quite liked his clothes- made him look like an actual Emperor, which was, apparently, necessary. Image had never meant too much to him, usually going for clothes that made him feel comfortable- but he'd had to change after taking the throne. And he was still comfortable.]

I honestly don't have a clue what will fit me, any more. I'm sure you've noticed I've gained weight.

[He knows he's healthier now. Still a bit underweight, but healthier.

But that's very much still a new thing for him.] Not that I imagine that'll last for very long.

[Without Lana slamming meals down on his desk and sitting there with him until the entire meal was gone...]

I imagine one of our party members made sure you ate, which I am glad they did. I'm sure if I told Eli to make sure you eat, he'll do so. I am unfortunately not reliable in that since I'm just as bad for not eating.

Well I know you tend to like the flowing/draping look I bet the shop keeper could find something there. Maybe not just white but something in light colors?

One of my advisers, Lana Beniko, was... Very insistent that I eat regularly. She's mild-mannered, normally, but when there's something she wants...

[He can't help a slight laugh.] Let's just say that seeing her angry is terrifying indeed. Even to me.

[By his tone, it's obvious that he's fond of her.] ... Perhaps that would be best. I'm not as opposed to darker colors as you might think, though.

I'm glad you had her around. I at least had Mitaka to make sure I was eating. I miss his presence. He would always find a way to be near me, even though he shouldn't be there.

[He gave a small smile.]

Then we can get a few dark colors too.

Nothing more scary than an angry Sith slamming meals down onto your desk and sitting there until you eat it all...

[The Mitaka fellow sounded less intimidating than Lana, at any rate. He's glad Hux had him in his corner.]

Probably for the best. Less of a nightmare to keep clean.

I'll make sure to have Eli supervise that you eat.

[Hux stubbornly stated.]

I'm surprised you wear so much white with the line of work you do.

[As they talked the shop keeper helped point them both to what would be considered modern Asian clothing.

Is this where I should be saying "look who's talking"?

[He's only joking, of course. Still, they are both pretty bad at the whole eating thing.

As they're led over to some clothing that might suit him, he hums, starting to look it through.] Well, given my line of work, I usually make other people bleed on themselves rather than on me.

[Zero trouble admitting that, too.] I generally try to avoid resorting to violence, of course. But I've gotten pretty good at keeping blood off of my clothes.

[Hux gave Altair an innocent look in regards to the whole not eating topic.]

Well, I was also referring to your archeological work of crawling around in dirt and caves and old tombs. There's an art to not getting blood on yourself when you're fighting an enemy.

[There is an absolute look of longing, of missing doing just that, before he gets it under control again.

Stars he misses doing that kind of work. Still, he shakes his head.] Well, I wasn't too concerned about it then. And at home I do have many changes of clothing. And can easily wash anything that gets dirty.

[It wasn't like Agra 10, after all.]

You do have a point there. Maybe when things are more secure on Agra we can do some more exploring.

[He wasn't one for exploring, but it would be fun seeing Altair happy and in his element.]

[He stops looking through the clothes for a moment. Looking like his thoughts are somewhere far away.

Then he looks back at Hux, and smiles.] Maybe.

Once we get back though, it's much more important that I tend to the hospital. If there's another storm, I don't want to be unprepared.

[His own desires can wait.]

Yes, I suppose so. Maybe you can get more help so you don't always have to be there.

[Hux pointed out a few outfits that looked like something Altair might wear.]

Maybe. Until I do, I can manage on my own.

[With or without help, he won't be leaving the hospital.]

Oh, those are nice... [He picks the outfits out, considering them. Yes, definitely his style.]

Guess I should feel happy about not being one of those Sith who insists on being covered in armor. Or I might be very frustrated indeed.

Indeed. The Knights of Ren had always made a mess of the ship with their bulky armor and boots. [He wrinkled his nose at the memory of that.]

It looks like we both found a new set of clothing.
