Open Log - 001
WHO: Cipher Nine & You
WHERE: Around Risa
WHAT: Vacation!
WHEN: During the stay on Risa
WARNINGS: Mentions of drug-use & drug withdrawals.
[A - Markets]
Mysterious spending money and disliking possible puppet masters aside, Aden had already spent quite a lot of time wandering the markets. He'd bought trinkets, supplies, entertainment. Even a stringed instrument and instructions on how to learn to play it. After all, he didn't need the Force to foresee that there would be time to learn to play it in the future.
He'd also bought a collection of knives- just in case. If he had proper ones, he wouldn't need to spend his time scavenging for supplies back on Agra 10, after all, nor possibly having to resort to merely making himself shivs for self-defense.
Today, he was merely looking around- and avoiding certain things that he would eventually need to do.
[B - Nightclubs]
Not so much dancing, not so much joining in, but he did visit the bar of each nightclub he visited, going to a different one each evening and night- for something to drink, while they had access to it. Every night was spent drinking, watching people come and go- and looking for substances a bit stronger than alcohol. After all, he couldn't deny that the spice withdrawals he was going through wasn't affecting how he was relating to other people, his mood often fluctuating- especially with his brain damage, the headaches that wouldn't go away.
Still, either he wasn't looking hard enough, or there wasn't really a market for it on Risa.
So sitting by the bar most of the night it was- not quite inviting others to come chat, but not seeming as though that was something he'd turn down, either.
[C - Beaches]
Swimming wasn't really his thing, but the beaches were nice.
Much like the nightclubs he visited, he couldn't really be found in the thick of things. He didn't swim, or spend his time playing on the beach. Instead he'd found himself a nice spot to sit and watch, beneath a parasol, and with a drink in one hand, a fan in the other, using it to keep himself cool.
He also had a picnic basket with him, full of food that was made with local ingredients- though he'd obviously not bought it prepared the way it was. It seemed more like he'd made the food himself from scratch- it was as close to Chiss cuisine he could get, making things himself.
[D - Wildcard]
(Anything else you might think of! Aden's exploring most of the planet, after all. The glowing gardens, any shop, relaxing in the shade here and there!)

(Anything else you might think of! Aden's exploring most of the planet, after all. The glowing gardens, any shop, relaxing in the shade here and there!)

Still keeping his hold on Aden's arm, he began to walk down the sidewalk, glancing at the stores on occasion to see if there was anything that caught his eye.
"We like your freckles."

Perhaps he had hurt him, by staying away, by trying to distance himself, but...
He sighed softly, feeling his face heat up a bit, at the compliment, pretty sure that he'd gone a bit purple too, "... Thanks."

"Have you met the other Chiss here, Thrawn? We live with him, along with Eli Vanto."
no subject
Vector was the only person he truly trusted, but here Vector didn't know him.
And it would be weird, if Aden was immediately willing to rely on him. Besides, he didn't really deserve to rely on him, either.
"I guess with Eli running his kitchen, there's good food, at least."

Vector wonders if Aden has a place to live yet. Eli's house already has four people living in it, and Altair has claimed the entire second floor. Perhaps they can find him some housing when they return.

Of course, maybe the Sith he knew were a touch worse than the rest- not that he knew many, personally, but he knew what they were like. Once upon a time, he hadn't minded them so much, but ever since Jadus... Aden didn't know if his dislike came from Jadus being a monster, or if it came because he'd been a hair's breadth away from joining the Dark Lord in his plot.
"Not that I'm intimately familiar, or anything."

And now Lord Kallig is Emperor Kallig. Vector hopes he gets to see Altair's empire one day, because if anyone can turn the empire around, he trusts it will be Emperor Kallig.
Vector looks into a nearby store, eyeing some of the 'summer outfits' on display, including crop tops and shorts. "Perhaps we should consider buying clothing for different seasons."

Normally Sith wanted people to bow and scrape and beg. How the Sith Vector was talking about had survived Korriban, survived being an acolyte or apprentice, he didn't understand. Aden had been to Korriban before. He'd walked in the shadow of the Sith Academy, he'd seen acolytes running about on their trials.
He'd seen the slaves toiling in the planet's cold sands, had seen the suffering. He'd seen Sith be used as disposable playing pieces, being jerked around by an insane child of a Sith, though Zhorrid's dysfunction had been a result of the man who had been her father.
Regardless it had been obvious to him that nice people didn't get ahead in a place like that- so either this Sith Vector spoke of was an extremely adept liar, or he was so powerful that none could challenge him.
Looking up, he looked in the direction Vector was looking, "Oh, that's cute actually," He said, before even really thinking about it. The crop tops and shorts were his style, after all.
"I mean-"

His hand still on Aden's arm, Vector steers the Chiss into the shop. Black eyes gravitate towards a loose-fitting shirt and pants set, then something more robe-like.

To Vector, right now, Aden was just some stranger, and the only thing they shared, was being from the same world and similar points in time.
As they headed into the shop to take a look around, he very nearly moved to shrug his hand of- stopping himself before doing so, yet there was no hiding the slight jerk of his arm, nor the way he was looking anywhere but at the other man, "... That would look good on you."
He nodded his head toward a garment- quite an elegant one, which probably hinted toward what he thought of the other man, given that he himself had quite the different sense of fashion that he preferred for himself.

He looked over at Aden, pausing for a moment, as if realizing something huge. Like many, many things made sense now. He had many questions for the Chiss, but instead he said, "We agree. You have a good eye."

At home, at any rate. Aden wondered what he'd be doing here- how to occupy his time. As many times as he's wanted to get away from things, truth was that he probably wasn't suited to civilian life, any more. Once they got back to Agra 10, and there was even less structure, he really wondered how he would manage.
He looked at Vector then, and then turned away when he realized Vector was looking at him, "The Empire trains its assets well, I suppose."
no subject
"Indeed it does."
