[The video opens to Alec's face, looking rough. Dark circles stand out under his eyes, and the cheekbones stand out prominently as from unintended weight loss. His face isn't the only part of him looking gaunt, though it's the only part visible in the video feed. Which he hadn't meant to turn on. He grumbles to himself for a moment, clearly fiddling with something on the tablet, before he just gives it up.]
Um. So. This isn't where I fell asleep. [He scrubs a hand over his face, the expression both concerned and still exhausted.] I don't, uh, really know what's happened at all. Is that commonplace around here? To just... lose long stretches of time?
[It's really disconcerting!]

Aside from the disconcerting act of waking up in a place that doesn't resemble at all where he went to sleep, Alec has to attempt to navigate that space. He'd not really explored the ships before, though he'd been told about them. He has to assume that's where he is now. But he's weak, from what he assumes is no food for whatever interval of time has passed since he last remembers anything. That probably needs to be his first priority.
So he's in the hallway. He's leaning against the wall of the hallway, more accurately; supporting himself as he makes his way along the passageways. There has to be a kitchen or something similar available. Surely getting some real food in his system will help. He just has to find it.

Have another idea entirely? Come at me here or hit me up at
sometimesamuse or via PM. Want a more specific starter for your character? Let me know, I got you. Want to start something the "day before" the latest event, and wake up in watery environs? Let's go for it. The world is our oyster (sometimes more than metaphorically).

He reaches to put an arm around Alec. "Come on, I'll help you to the diner." In Alec's condition, he looks like he needs support in many different ways.

Even though his companion moves closer, Alec doesn't expect the support of that arm at all. He stiffens a little in surprise before letting himself lean a little. It reminds him of the times when his sister had done similar, though without the extreme height difference. He doesn't think Izzy has ever forgiven him for getting what she calls all the height genes in the family. He wishes she was here, even as he's glad she's not.
"Yeah. I'm not... really sure where I'm going." Letting someone else steer him (and make decisions) sounds wonderful to his tired brain.

"Okay. We're not too far. Just along this way...."
Soon they will be coming to the diner. Radley will try to get Alec to a chair when they arrive.
"I'll whip up something quick for you," he promises. Something light for now; it wouldn't be good to go too heavy when he hasn't eaten in who knows how long.

"Okay..."
At least Alec's easy to steer. Radley's support helps a lot, as does just having to move where he's directed. Alec kind of loses track of time, until he's encouraged (gently!) into a chair. That change of position helps him gather his attention enough to really focus on Radley again.
"Whatever is easy," he replies. Alec doesn't want to put Radley to any more inconvenience than he already has, and he's not a picky eater. But something quick and light will likely do him a world of good.

Fruit just isn't very filling on its own.
