Oh, of course there's more. What kind of space adventure would this be without that reveal?

"Uh, so... Do you have any kind of game plan for these guys?" Leo asks, readying his swords again.

"We're at a disadvantage without any cover," Donnie observes as he monitors the approach. "I'm thinking their feet might be magnetized or something... Hey, can you pop some portals open over there?"

Leo only half-listens to that explanation, but he does clue in on the request. He nods, turning his swords on the area Donnie indicates.

"Portals coming right up," he says, before they pop where he was told.

Donnie grins, glad Leo's picked up on the idea. He looks back down the hall as the familiar blooms of Leo's ninpō appear in his goggles overlay, and as he switches modes he can better see as the...drones? start falling into them and popping out to find themselves free-floating. Their legs twitch around but they don't seem to be built for dealing with being away from a solid surface.

Some of the drones pick up on the light as movement of a potential target and turn to fire at them, their shots picking off some of their own number. The lasers that don't hit them still seem to come from an unknown origin, triggering more of them to fire at the portals and consequently, each other.

"Whoa, look at that light show!" Leo cheers, watching the lasers go. The plan was not bad, not bad at all!

He'll watch to see if there are any stragglers left, when it's all said and done...

"Oh, that worked out even better than I thought it would," Donnie laughs, watching appreciatively as most of the drones take themselves out.

There's a couple still attached to a surface, having switched to defensive mode as lasers flew around them. One's missing a leg from said laserfire but it drags itself along, the other following suit to try finding their original target through the floating parts of their associates.

"You want to take these or should I?"

“Why don’t we split the difference?” Leo suggests. But he doesn’t wait for an answer before he launches himself toward the one that seems confused - more slowly than normal, thanks to the lowered gravity.

Leo's already charging- as best as one can- ahead, but Donnie can only grin as he moves slightly to the side, lifting his mystic-tech weapon.

The mostly functional drone spies the movement between floating fragments and attempts to fire, though it only manages to hit those pieces and inert bodies for the most part, other shots going a bit wide only to hit the sides of the hall.

The limping drone is put on the alert with the other's shooting, head turning this way and that almost frantically as it tries to sight what it's supposed to shoot. Donnie's shot takes it right through the laser eye.

"Yeah! Touchdown! Or something."

Touchdown...? Okay, fine, close enough.

Meanwhile, Leo manages to dodge any of those wild shots, swinging his sword around in a wide arc around his body as he bashes into the other bot, hitting it with enough force that it finally gets rocked off its magnetic hold, spinning away into the wall and splintering into several disembodied robot parts.

"And that's a scrap!" he calls, propping his katana over his shoulder.

Donnie grins, pushing off to float his way down the hall to join Leo.

"Looks like we're clear," he reports after having a look around. He grabs one of the drifting drones before inspecting the walls, pointing at several open panels just a ways further down.

"Seems like they came from those. I think somehow whatever power was left in this hallway was rerouted here to power the security drones."

"So the ship is boobytrapped!" Leo sounds smug, like he really solved a mystery here. "Can you reroute the power back to the, uh... main console thingy?"

He gestures back the way they came.

"As much as I hate to say it, in a sense it does lean towards that theory," Donnie admits, expression souring a bit. He looks where Leo gestures, stroking his...okay so stroking your chin doesn't work so well when it's behind a face shield.

"The trick would be actually finding the main console. But once we do locate it, figuring out how to override...whatever's going on around here, shouldn't be a problem."

"Alright, so we go hunting."

Leo puts his sword away (a bit complicated in this bulky suit) and starts back the way they came from.

"Come on, let's go! This space adventure won't finish itself!"

Despite the fact that they were almost killed just now, he's having fun. At least robots are a normal kind of danger.

Donnie can't help but smirk a little at Leo's enthusiasm. He'd just said the magic words, after all. This is about the most of a space adventure they've had since they've been out on the ships, and he's certainly not missing out.

Besides, what's a few security drones?

"Hey, wait up!" he calls as he pushes off after his brother.
