"Nope," she says, taking one pull of her own air supply. "My legs don't hurt enough for it. But you can do it, Donnie. You're resilient."

"Hrrggh..."

He knows the atmosphere's the real problem here. But he'd really been hoping they'd made some progress for how awful he feels.

At least he manages to get the breathing mask out, pressing it over his mouth to take a deeper breath of oxygen.

"There you go," she says, talking carefully as she rubs at his shoulder. "You're gonna be okay. We're gonna make it."

Anything she can do to support Donnie, she will. If only she could do more than this.

Donnie tries not to breathe in too quickly, as much as reflex tries to prompt him to. But the last thing he needs to do is waste it by coughing it all out again.

"Thanks," he says quietly, his head feeling a bit better. It's inevitable that it's temporary, but they just need to be smart about things. He nods. They can make it. But it's still not going to be fun.

Robin rubs his shoulder just a bit longer before lowering her own breathing unit and nodding to him.

"Come on. Let's keep going. Don't want to get left behind. I'm not a very big survivor girl, even if this isn't the first apocalyptic landscape I've been in."

While he's usually uncomfortable about such contact, he's glad to have someone there looking out for him. He really should have been better about it, monitoring his own responses to the environment, but his mind's been all over the place ever since he'd left the ship.

"Right," Donnie says, drawing himself up as he looks ahead. He nods for Robin to start, but he'll do his best to walk right along with her.

She takes a relatively deep breath, nods, and starts walking forward.

"Look at it this way. At least we don't have to fight hell bats, yanno? This could actually be worse."

"I guess? Fighting anything under these conditions would kind of suck though." He's already feeling it just from walking.

Maybe it's better to just focus on getting to where they need to. Which does take some doing when you're prone to feeling lightheaded, but simultaneously it's what's keeping him from getting too distracted by the local plantlife, which he'd normally love to study if he had the time to spare for it. But he'd already been at risk of getting left behind as it was.

"Hope we're still going in the right direction," Donnie can't help but wonder aloud, except that the last of his words are swallowed by the sudden rumbling of thunder in the near distance. His eyes flick upwards towards the dark skies.
