..::|| Cooking with the Agrii ||::..
Madoka is curious in nature, especially when it comes to baking. And, in this case, when just about everything comes to peanut butter flavours. When he goes to the kitchen, he finds many Agrii cooking away. Maybe they won't mind if he just... steps in casually and starts to make his own confections. After rummaging through every ingredient he can find, he gets to work.
Things released to the tables are more normal-looking cookies and cupcakes, crepes, pies...
Eventually, a tired-yet-aggravated sound escapes from the kitchen.
"Why does everything taste like peanut butter...? That can't be right..."
He even made sure not to cross-contaminate. Well, mostly.
If you visit the back, you'll find a man with a bunch of Agrii watching him in anticipation as he mixes another bowl. The kitchen is an absolutely chaotic disaster, with litter and flour spots on the floor, the dishes piling in the sink, and the counter covered in flour and dough remnants. Even Madoka has some patches from his endeavours on his clothes, hair, and skin.
..::|| Green Area ||::..
Madoka has taken to full kid mode and has been enjoying the festivities. Especially when he's away from large groups. That doesn't stop him from helping an agrii or two in constructing snow forts, men, and igloos. And he gets to happily lick the sweet remnants off his fingers when he's done helping. If this is a dream, don't wake him.
This time, he's making a snow cat. A rather large one, actually. It's pretty precise, too, almost looking like a plushie. He's rolled a ball for the head that's almost half as big as he is and is currently constructing the ears on it.
If you happen to come over to admire it or come help, he'll smile at you. Then back at his handiwork on the cat.
"Do you think the sparklers will melt it? I wonder if I can add some flair for the whiskers~"
..::|| Gifts ||::..
Madoka has social anxiety, and is never one for crowds. But here he is, compelled by music or otherwise to join. He's got a scarf wrapped several times around his neck, drooping in places, and against skin in others. It's not... the most fashion sensible, but it's a present, all the same. Madoka is wearing it with a smile.
He's also holding up several unwrapped presents, with a sparkle in his eyes.
"They got me presents! It's not even my birthday!"
He's ecstatic. He doesn't even know what he got yet, but he's absolutely thrilled. And he's curiously trying to peek and see if you got any.
"Did you get presents, too? This is amazing~!"

Gifts
"Yes, everyone got something," he says. "This basically seems to be a combination Christmas and New Year's celebration. Do you have those holidays in your world?"
This Sephiroth is from a world connected to many pieces of Earth worlds, so he is very familiar with Earth holidays and most of them are celebrated in his world.

A beat.
"Wait. Is this going to be like white day? Should I get them presents, too?"
Oh, please don't tell him this is like Valentine's Day where he has to admit if he returns certain feelings. He hasn't even opened up his presents yet to figure out what to get in return. Or what items might mean to the Agrii.
no subject
And he blinks at this. "White day?" He's more familiar with Western Earth holidays, so he has to think a moment. "No, I don't believe so."
no subject
Madoka's face falls briefly, in a comedic-defeat sort of way.
"...Then he bought me boxes to put my important stuff in, saying he would throw it away if it got over the line. My room should be my space," he pouts.
And then he's back to chipper.
"So, you said "world" earlier. I guess that means you might be from a different one?"
no subject
"Yes, my world is called Radiant Garden," he says. "It was Hollow Bastion for a time, but it's being restored to its former glory."
no subject
Which is fine, it's part of the deal. But still. He wishes Chihiro could be bothered to relax. Even on New Years, Chihiro couldn't let even hired help do all the work.
"That sounds pretty! What's it like?"
no subject
Sephiroth won't comment more on that, since he doesn't know the person.
"There are blue cliffs and canyons overlooking the town. It used to have many gardens, hence the name. A lot of the residents are working to make sure the gardens return. The culture is similar in a lot of ways to American, but there are people from all over. It used to be a monarchy; however, there hasn't been an actual, decent ruler for years."
He is not going to count Maleficent as a proper ruler after she destroyed it and turned it into Hollow Bastion.
no subject
"Is it a democracy now? A republic? If it's being restored, will the monarchy be, too?"
no subject
"Hm. That is ... a good question, honestly," Sephiroth remarks. "At the point when I was brought here, they hadn't decided yet. I can't imagine who they would even get to rule, if they take that route again."
no subject
"I wonder if you're the type to run all sorts of parties and celebrations or if you're the super serious kind who wants to follow all the rules."
no subject
He continues to be amused. "I'm neither, really. I'll break the rules if they need to be broken." Some situations just couldn't go by the book. "And I'm the one making flashy entrances at parties." He loves teleporting into the middle of things.
Cooking
But no, that was too much, especially for someone new. The young man leans against one of the doors into the kitchen, smiling at the energy of the guy working to cook.
"I'm so calling dibs on you for the Diner. Like, not even kidding. Radley is great with a lot of forms of cooking, and I've picked up more than a few things over the years, including adapting the ingredients we have available, but baking? Man, we've been seriously lacking in that area."
Then he's pushing out off of the door. Before a normal person could even begin to blink he's already at Madoka's side, a casual display of inhuman abiity that, with the wind it kicks up, gets some of that flour kicked up into the air. He does take a chance to offer his hand out to the guy.
"Tommy Shepherd. You're new. Welcome to our little chaotic part of the world. Enjoy the kitchen here while we have access to it. Facilities planetside are never so impressive."
no subject
Though the offer of baking sounds tempting. He'd remembered someone mentioning it before. Perhaps this was the same guy that robot mentioned?
Though it doesn't stop his eyes from widening when Tommy suddenly appears by his side, with the flour dusting up in his wake.
"Hoo, you're fast," Madoka says breathlessly and a bit of a smile, accepting the hand.
"You want me to work for the diner?" he follows with a chuckle. "Hopefully not everything tastes like peanut butter there, too. I'm Madoka Takatori."
no subject
"And yeah, I'd so recruit you from word one if you'd let me. The more people making good food, the more I take off my own plate so I can move even closer to being our full time solo farmer. Not many people want to get down and personal with the dirt, and I'm also the only one taking care of the glownies now. It's a whole thing. And no, it doesn't all taste like that, Madoka. In fact, I'd ban the taste if I could."
