Donnie shakes his head, sighing. "You know, back home we'd just go directly after the bad guys, beat them up and call it a day." For what good that ever really does, because they'd eventually pop up again, so clearly no one was putting the mutants in jail. ...which in retrospect is probably a good thing because it meant that even the bad guy mutants knew to lay low to some degree, and Manhattan hasn't ever armed itself with pitch forms like the time rumors about turtle menaces cropped up.
"But then that's because the bad guys knew they were doing things they weren't supposed to and not being that secretive about it. This is all...different." He frowns. "...maybe not all that different." Definitely not the first time he'd had the wool pulled over his eyes because someone hadn't been acting like one would expect of your standard media villains, but then that's part of the reason he hadn't felt he could trust himself about people, especially after his missing tablet incident.
