[Bright blue obscures the screen briefly before Cayde pulls back, flashing a grin just as bright for it being backlit in amber light. There's a chicken on his shoulder. It looks like he's somewhere in the woods.]

So for starters, all's quiet on the volcano front. Also? It is a lot farther out than you'd think! Definitely not a day trip! ...didn't mean for it to be a week trip though.

Er.

Longer than a week? How long has it...

Well, anyway! Good news, I don't think it's planning to erupt any time soon. Of course, I am no volcano expert so take that as you will. Sorry if anyone missed me, thought I left a note. Way back too longer I think, I'm sure that ravine didn't help.

-Oh yeah! If you were wondering, these things are pretty tough!! I'm sure that drop was at least five stories! Good thing I'm built tough too!

The whole thing formed and blew its top just last year. I'm guessing you weren't here for that. Probably for the best, it was boring down in that bunker.

Must've just missed it. Good - at least where I'm from, if the volcano doesn't erupt continuously, we should be good for at least a few years.

Well, hopefully it behaves like a normal volcano despite all the whole popping out of nowhere thing!

Oh yeah! There were a bunch of tremors on and off for 'bout a month, and then we look over and see a new mountain off in the distance!

Huh. Maybe that was right before I came here. Guess I'm lucky to not have seen big landscape changes. Those are usually devastating.

If you keep an eye out around the edges of town you can see where the barrier the Agrii managed to set up around the city stopped things from getting too toasty, although it's probably harder now after a few months of new growth.

City's still got the telltale marks of the worst of the quakes though. Otherwise I think we faired pretty well.

Eh, barrier's out of our hands. The Agrii have the controls to that.

I mean, we could? If there was anything to check out! It's not up anymore, otherwise I imagine we'd have a tough time getting in and out.

My guess is it's something programmable and projected from afar, and if our tech geeks haven't sniffed it out by now it's probably hidden pretty good like most everything else we don't understand around here or it's well out of our reach.

True enough, although that's really been the only time a city-endangering threat came up. Don't think it'd work with storms though, not if those things mess with power.

Might still be worth a shot, especially if we could move closer to it. Wouldn't have to project as far. We could try alternative power sources.
