[The video is chaotically shaky, and the noise staticy with what turns out to be splashing water, sending droplets splattering across the lens. In it, Shaw is standing on the sand, being recorded from the water. The camera is drifting away from her, or more accurately, kind of in circles. Stu's voice is off screen, sounding panicked.]

Anybody out there? Hello? This lady just cornered and threatened me. Hello? I'm in the ship, I'm in the--beach--if anyone is close to the ship--

[ooc: The Agrii have recognized a threat and lowered the boarding restrictions for the ships. Anyone can board, if they choose!]

[ Wesker doesn't care what anyone likes or not. ]

I knocked her out.

[ A simple fact presented as Wesker starts moving again, clearly making his way to leave the ship, Themis following suit. ]

Is either of you familiar with the presumption of innocence?

[Stu isn't following, instead sticking his head into his room, searching.]

Innocent until proven guilty. Yes, I am familiar with it.

[He's still looking at Shaw and watching Wesker warily in case he tries that on him too.]

What did she do that warranted rendering her unconscious?

She admitted to not having any actual proof for Stu being guilty of what she accuses him for. She was hoping to find that here by forcing Stu into a situation where he has to proof his own innocence rather than delivering any actual evidence for his alleged guilt. Apparently she doesn't realize that once we start going down that road, every person in this city will be required to produce solid proof for their own innocence as well. At which point we will be opening up gates and doors for ridiculous witch hunts.

I pointed out the flaws in her investigation and told her that we will be leaving. She resisted, demanding that I let her do her thing. So I put an end to this farce.

[ Wesker is not someone that repeats himself. ]

I will not tolerate intimidation tactics becoming an acceptable tool in this city.

That's what I've been saying this whole time.

[...more or less. Stu doesn't sound confident, and he's still not following, hovering by the door with the camera on Wesker carrying the limp body, focus wavering. It's only behind the camera that he glances at Sephiroth warily.]

[Sephiroth looks back at Stu with a calm deadpan. Right now, he's exasperated with this whole venture, although he's not showing that outwardly. This has been a complete disaster.]

I see.

What are you going to do with her?

[ At this, Wesker stops, dark shades fixing on Sephiroth. ]

You are aware that I don't owe you any answers, I assume. You barely arrived on this planet, yet decided to immediately get yourself involved in matters that you have no context for.

What do you believe I will do with her?

[The camera swivels between Wesker and Sephiroth, and Stu is whispering something that might just be what the fuck?. He's slowly backing away, until the doorframe is cutting across the shot, slinking into his room.]

I honestly couldn't say. I don't know you. Or her, for that matter.

[But he will interfere if any more violence is attempted where he can see it. This seems like an extreme solution to Shaw wanting to continue investigating and it makes him very wary of Wesker. Now he'll be on guard for anything.]

[sunglassesincluded]

And I don't know you. Neither do I trust you. This excursion is finished.

[ He turns away and and resumes his way. ]

Stu. You will follow me to the hospital at your own pace.

I'm...I'm okay, actually. She never got that close to me.

[He's making wide eyes at Sephiroth now, only to realize this was going to work for him as well as the first time he thought the weirdo was going to help against a threat. His only recourse is to whisper at the camera again.]

This place is so messed up, dude.

[Sephiroth is honestly not sure what to think. He's angry with himself for anything he may have done to have caused things to escalate to this outcome. He doubts that continuing to try interfering at this point will help matters. He needs to step back and learn everything about this mess and these people.

He looks back to Stu.]

The man seems to be on your side. You'll probably be safe with him.

[You asked for him to come, after all.]

Do you not want to go with him?

[He's trying to make up for his mistakes. In spite of their rocky start and interaction, he actually would be an ally for Stu in the present and future as far as trying to make sure things are fair for him. He'll be disappointed when the truth of things comes out sometime, now that he has doubts about Stu's guilt and even came to like the boy a bit....]

[Hissing] Does she look okay to you, man?

[Sephiroth keeps his voice low as he responds.]

Apparently it happened because he felt she was being unfair to you. But if you don't want to go with him, I will speak on your behalf, if you want.

[He recognizes that Stu could be in danger from Wesker if Wesker decides Stu is doing something wrong too. He would certainly rather not leave either Stu or Shaw with Wesker. He's mentally calculating exactly what he would be able to do in here if they end up fighting. He doesn't have his sword, and he's certainly not about to try using his fire powers inside the ship. But he would still be very fast and formidable in a physical fight.]
