![]() Jan had found a collection of opalescent conch like shells, and scattered them about liberally to serve as decorations. She and Tony had been working in secret for ages to pull this together for Steve, and the pair were dressed in white, a request she’d made of all the guests as well, but no one would be turned away if they couldn’t manage. A dancefloor had been built, and Eddie had been offered something that must’ve been pretty damn valuable, because the metalhead had been talked into playing Disco for the party. ![]() As the sun set, a host of glowing necklaces, wands and bracelets were passed out, and once it was truly dark the light show began. Rather than the more traditional fireworks, they had a series of drones lighting up the sky in a dazzling display. ![]() However, something unexpected comes from this. As though awoken from the light, the shells Jan had so proudly decorated with were not as abandoned as she’d thought. Little legs slid free, and the creatures began to head for the nearest light source, whether that be the drones in the sky or any of the heroes with their glowing attire. And to make matters worse, there is a large SOMETHING in the water, shrieking with a sound that shakes the beach. What could it possibly want, and what does it have to do with the little shell creatures?? -------- ![]() Truth (cocktail): Can only speak the truth Justice (mocktail): Temporarily Blinds Drinker Liberty (cocktail): Extreme Excess of Energy Fireworks (cocktail): Loss of Powers or Granting of One (1) Not Game Breaking Power Mr. President (mocktail): Causes Short Term Amnesia |

If there was something to be hacked, of course the turtle would try it. Not being able to or the thought that he shouldn't were never really options that he ever considered, and no one back home ever told him anything to curb his enthusiasm. Besides, it was useful. He liked to be useful.
"It's just like rerouting to a new control device, right?"
It wasn't difficult to isolate the signals the drones were responding to, there were only so many other signals floating around the area and mostly network-based. With a few taps at his screen, the lights on the drones would hopefully shift to neon purple- a test to make sure he'd established the connection. If that worked, he was going to reset formation and have them start zipping around to grab the attention of the shelled critters.

"Yeah, right, obviously," she nodded along like she understood the tech speak. The purple glow seemed to catch those nearest in a trance before they scuttled after it.

"That's it... follow that beautiful purple glow," he said, setting the drones to pulse tantalizingly, a runway to the water and in the direction of the disturbance. A few drones circled the stirring waters beyond.

Jan gave a guilty look and moved to help some of the stragglers find their way. "...I guess I really should have looked more closely."

"Maybe? Things are kinda weird here so it's easy to forget it might not work the same as it does on Earth or something," he said as he glanced over at Jan. He offered a lopsided smile. "Could've been worse, no one got eaten, right?"

"I guess that's true. I've had parties where that happened." Is she teasing? Hard to say.

After the vampire party he wasn't sure what was off limits anywhere anymore, not that he'd had very extensive party experience until being hero-napped, how sad was that?
