Welcome to where time stands still
Who:Eddie Munson, OTA
What: Playing music and games
Where: Temba, Outdoors and in the Diner
When: Early to Mid June
Warnings: TBD
Go Play Outside
The weather was nicer and drier and Eddie didn't have a creepy tail anymore, so rather than being hunched over a table in the diner he's outside in the fresh air. Sort of. It's smoke-y air. And he's in the shade. And not really doing anything super physical. But it still counts, all right?
Sitting cross legged with his acoustic on his lap, Eddie's cigarette was burned down dangerously close to his lip, forgotten as he jotted down his revisions in his note book. He cursed, taking a final draw and stubbing the thing out, dropping the notebook so he could try the new lyrics out.
Go Play Inside
D&D meanwhile wasn't easy to play outside. Papers would blow away, the ground was too uneven for dice rolls. He'd tried it. It never worked.
Players were also at an all time low, and without them it was just Eddie telling a long and complicated story to no one. So he opted to try and up interest in a way he was intimately familiar with- making an ass of himself.
He climbed up on top of his table (a little more wobblily than the ones in the cafeteria, shit), and gestured wildly at the few heroes just trying to eat in peace.
"Who among you has what it takes to be an adventurer!? The guts? The passion??...Seriously, anyone? I'm actually asking here?"

Taking on the task of fixing a pool with this heat is however not something he looks forward to if it comes down to it.
At least Eddie's got a sense of humor. Donnie smiles crookedly. "Hey, you could be. My brothers and I were given survival lessons by a mutant capybara whom I am pretty sure otherwise just spends all his time taking care of puppies."
no subject
"Nah, man, I am much better suited to make-believe adventures, trust me. Last real world one I was on got me killed."
no subject
"-let me guess, you're Eddie?"
no subject
"What gave it away?"
no subject
"Oh relax, I'm not here for your lunch money. But I'm game if you start a sesh up."
no subject
"You play then?" he asked, gesturing eagerly for the turtle to join him, "You got a character or we making you someone new?"
no subject
"I do have a character, yes- I can probably set up from memory if I don't have notes on my phone." Oh, who is he kidding, he probably does.
no subject
"Well don't be shy," he encourages, "Tell me about them, let me get a sense of what I'm working with."
no subject
"Which corebook are we using? Five-E?" Donnie asks as he settles himself at the table, looking over the sheets before he pats his pockets for his phone.
"I have a sorcerer, lawful evil," he says, immediately launching into some background on the character but if he's allowed to go on they might be there all day.
no subject
"Yeah, the weird new future one," Eddie says, gesturing to the book which well after his time, but he's getting used to the changes.
Donnie probably would be allowed to go on all day, but Eddie does interject before they get too lost in thigs to ask- "Before this sorcerer swallows up your entire identity, you got a name?"
no subject
"-huh? Oh! Right!" He coughs demurely into a fist. "I'm Donatello- Donnie's just fine."
no subject
"Fancy," he laughs good naturedly, a teasing smirk twisting his face, "Well, Donnie, you interested in joining Hellfire Club Mark 2? Most people are still learning how to play, so it'd be nice to have someone else who knows the ropes. One less person I need to explain things to."
no subject
Oh, but Donnie's never actually been invited to join a club! Invited himself to join, sure, but this is far from a fancy high school elitist tech club that was actually a gang of tech-savvy criminals! He tries not to look thrilled to be included in anything but his fingers restlessly drum against the tabletop in his eagerness.
"Yes!"
no subject
He grins and sticks out his hand to shake on it. "Welcome to Hellfire, Kid. What size are you? I've got a couple here, or I can make up a new one if we need to," he says, refiling through his remaining stock of handprinted shirts.
no subject
"A medium. You don't have anything in purple do you...?" At least he's not joining solely for some cool threads
like he'd joined the other club but hey, that purple satin jacket was beautiful.no subject
He fishes out a standard one for now and hands it over. "If you know anyone else who might be interested, we're always looking for more people."
no subject
"Maybe I can drag my brother in. He'll probably play just to feel included."
no subject
"The more the merrier, dude."
no subject
"So who all else is in your little club?"
no subject
no subject
"I guess having a full group would make things more complicated anyway," he says as he hands the list back. "But should be fun."
