A very long day-trip (OTA)

WHO: Radley and anyone in Sh’Ka
WHERE: Sh’Ka
WHAT: Wandering around
WHEN: May 10th-June 2nd
WARNINGS: None

Radley has never been to Sh’Ka, for some reason. And for some reason, he randomly decides to visit and check it out. Things have been peaceful lately and he’d kind of like to see something new. Maybe seeing so many new things has spoiled him and now he wants to explore.

He rides on the train there with Knuckles and Fang, which is certainly trippy since he knows both of them from Sonic games back home. (He does not mention he knows Fang by the name Nack, as he still doesn’t want to open that can of worms that the characters star in video games back home.) Knuckles is very stern and silent most of the way, folding his arms and watching the giant Emerald in the seat next to him. Radley tries to converse a bit but soon gives up. It’s like talking to Kalin, only Knuckles is pricklier. Fang is much more chatty, but he talks a lot about jewel-hunting and bounty-hunting and Radley isn’t sure what to make of most of it.

When they arrive in Sh’Ka, they separate. Knuckles seems to be considering living in Sh’Ka, so he’s wandering around looking for a possibly suitable place for the Master Emerald. He seems quite at home. Fang is off looking for possible clues and treasure.

Radley feels much less at home here. It’s so eerily deserted. (What really happened to the palace and why was it blown up? He still doesn’t know.) He wanders around a while, then thinks maybe he’s made a mistake. Maybe he’d rather go back.

The only problem is, he can’t get back. The train isn’t cooperating and won’t go into Temba. The weird dome and fog freaks him out and he’s worried. Then the train takes him back to Sh’Ka. What’s going on in there?! Why can’t he get through?!

Network

Hello, is anyone out there? Are you guys alright in Temba? I’m in Sh’Ka. I was just going for a day trip, but I can’t seem to get back in. I’m going to keep trying. Please let me know if you’re okay!

Growing Panic

Not receiving any answer from anyone in Temba, Radley’s worry is mounting. Fang shrugs it off and seems to think whatever it is, is probably some weirdness he’d just as soon stay out of. Knuckles is worried like Radley and tries desperately and repeatedly to get through the dome, to no effect.

Hoping to find others in Sh’Ka, Radley wanders more, looking for anyone who may have made the place their home or might also be visiting.

Has it happened again? I begin to believe I should warn others when I am coming to Sh'Ka.

I fear for our friends then. Often when this happens something bad is happening to them.

The majority of it seems to be stone. I cannot fathom why. But I have brought cushions here before to make it more tolerable.

I suppose that is a choice, but I have been quite content with my arrangements in the past.

They rather are. But I am particularly suited to making them I suppose.

I believe I can spare a pair for a fellow. I do tend to bring more in case Little Bear might need them.

The hotel here, of course. It is not flawless, but it is an option that I have made passingly comfortable in the past.

Wonderful. I shall get the cushions cleaned.

I do not require the facilities, for all that they are convenient.

I suppose it depends upon what you consider magic related. Most of these items have been treated with my magic to turn aside stains, so yes. And I can make them lighter and younger again, though I cannot force durability to something that is worn out.

I suppose it does help with that a little bit. Not as much as these washing machines do.

Yes, dryers are nice. But I find drying clothes in the sun to still be preferable. For the scent, and the airing them out.

Oh dear. That is a horrid thing to think about. Has that been a problem for you?

It was not common in my experience, but this still is not home, so I could be wrong. But I have not encountered it at this point.

Good to hear that as well. I will look forward to it.
