[ Cheryl makes sure to look her best, tidied up, red hair brushed and perfectly in place, lips a cherry red, when she puts her smiling face on the camera. ]

Salutations fellow heroic captives.

I [ she puts a hand on her chest to indicate herself ] am Cheryl Blossom, currently stuck with you until who knows how long, and separated from my beloved Toni Topaz. Of course, this is either a boon or misfortune at any given moment, as I wouldn't want her here with me, but I wish to return to her side lickity split. As in [ her expression hardens with her voice ] now.

If anyone has any information on how we might help our fellow friends and the planet we are forced to reside on, please share that intel. Time to start putting it together. [ She claps her hands together to indicate this should start. ]

[ Her sickly sweet cheerful smile is back as she waves at the screen. ]
Until then, toodles.

Getting home isn’t that easy. And while it can be a bit less stressful to be here with your best friend, it’s probably better to be happy she isn’t. This place can be very dangerous.

[See, Robin COULD answer those questions. But this is a pretty girl. Who just called another girl her girlfriend. Robin’s face turns a little red, clearly not in disgust or anger but in flustered embarrassment. Especially when you add in ‘Little Bird’. And you better believe in her shock the clumsiness kicks in. That communicator is totally going flying and Robin’s cursing because she just dropped her device which has bounced under her bed and can you HEAR her frustration as she scrambles down to try and get it.

Enjoy the fingers just barely visible in frame that clearly aren’t getting enough purchase to pull the device back out.]

Yep! Just peachy!

[The voice is muffled and off screen and again, the hint of fingers trying to grip. Then, at what is clearly supposed to be a whisper for herself...]

Dammit Buckley, get it together.

[Except Robin, who can't see her device, doesn't know that it's private. Soooooo that's not going to help much.]

What I need. Is a large. Fucking. St- Shit

[The voice gets quieter because guess whose fingers caught the device and then... accidentally sent it skittering further away.]

Nope. It's just... under my bed. And I can't reach it.

[Yeah, she's still trying.]

This place would be weird to me without anyone else here from Hawkins, so I get that.

[not that she has anything to go back to at home, which is why she isn't trying to get there and is happy enough being here. but wanting to be around people from home, yeah she gets it.]

I guess any information on how you might help depends on what kind you like doing, and if you have a data point expertise yet.

Everything. But seriously, I'm sure you could find your own little niche in whichever of them; you seem resourceful and smart like that.

Agriculture. Anything else, I was just like 'wow that's not me even if I would get extra knowledge in it from the data point'.

He's been staying with a guy I know; he'll take good care of him. I was on my way to pick him up before I ended up here. Bad timing, huh.

What about Toni Topaz?

[Which is a weird-ass name for a human who isn't a Vegas showgirl, as far as Shaw is concerned - but she's trying (with varying levels of success) to be some semblance of personable and cooperative here, so she'll keep that thought to herself.]
cactusy: (she's 85% of my impulse control)

[personal profile] cactusy 2024-05-09 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
What if she doesn't notice because of time relativity, or whatever?
cactusy: (warning)

[personal profile] cactusy 2024-05-13 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not a nerd, but I'll do my best. What if time moves differently here versus at home, meaning we can be here for months or years or whatever, but only seconds go by where we come from?

Could also be the opposite, but that's way more depressing.
