I always say morning
WHO: Max & Noct
WHERE: Fishing spot
WHAT: Fishing
WHEN: After this
WARNINGS: None
Noctis was on the beach at his usual spot after he turned the feed off. He had his favourite lures and he'd been here a little while. Only little fish were biting as he stood there. He still wasn't sure if Max would actually show or not, but he was here and would be as he'd told her.
It still pained him to see kids here. Hell no one should be here, but he couldn't complain too loudly because if he did, he himself wouldn't be here. Half of him thought he should be home in the great beyond. But the presence of his Shield albeit from a different time line had changed that somewhat.
Hearing footsteps approaching, he looked up from the water.

Max has spent enough time at the beach, at least while they were on Agra 10, she manages her way over easy enough. She is carrying her skateboard, as it can't travel over sand well, and there isn't a path for it. After just getting it back, she doesn't want to just leave it somewhere, either.
Noctis looks up from the water, and she manages a partial smile and waves.
"So...what are you fishing for?" she asks as she takes a seat next to him. "I'm not sure I'm ready to see alien fish."
no subject
"Fishing for whatever I can catch as it tends to help Tommy and Radley out at the diner." His head gestured to the green lobsters. "Not those guys though."
Reeling his empty hook in his head canted to the side. "I take it you're good with that skateboard."
no subject
"Oh. That explains where some of the food comes from. I don't typically get fish," Max admits.
"The lobsters are for you?"
Max nods her head. "I'm good enough. It's fun. Something I enjoy. Something from home."

He smiled at her question and shook his head. "I figure those guys are poisonous, but it's their colour." There was a slight put out expression on his face as he looked them over again.
But then Max caught his attention with her comments. "That's good to hear, this place could use more of that."
no subject
"Oh!" She frowns and looks the lobsters over. "Guess you can't be too careful. Wouldn't want someone getting sick, then. But what if they're fine, and just...that's the color they are here?" Other things are a different color, so why not?
"Yeah. You don't have anything from home you can do here? Or is that where the fishing comes from?"

After all, he and Gladio were constantly busy, almost like old times.
Noct shrugged at her question. "I don't really care for the colour so I just try and leave them alone." Even if he took the agriculture data point, their colour still bugged him.
But then he smiled with a nod. "Yup, got fishing gear my first year here in the Winter. It's something I used to love to do back home."
no subject
"Just always a fisher, then," she teases, lightly. "And got it. Avoid the weird color lobsters. Reason unknown."
But, well, she can't deny that might be good advice.
