Getting a few classrooms set up in the Civics Center. Need to get chairs and tables in there, and a work space for instructors.

And those of you who have helpfully volunteered in the past during the planning stage, please check in.

About time we start providing for our younger members. We'll try and keep the day not too long, and there will be fitness involved.

Anyone who is willing to guest lecture for a session or two on a special topic, please let me know. And someone with comms check in. Wanna see if there's some way we can transmit this stuff up to the Agrii. Clearly they need it too.

Normalcy can be useful. Plus there's the fact that the Agrii need to learn too.

Anything I can line people up for. This Reeve dude agreed to some math and physics. Richie doing writing and composition and reading stuff. I'm gonna do critical analysis and historical stuff, but more focused around here and how to think about what you learn.

[It's not a completely selfless offer; he's thinking if he can teach more people how to build, they can help him get together some of the stuff he's been wanting.]

That could be really useful for these kids. Give them some understanding to help them think about what they might want to delve more deeply into.

Magic huh? Guess if you think that could help, I could use desks that are mostly people sized.

Not sure. Hoping to cover the spread of the young people we have here, but offer things for whoever wants them.

So like...high school aged? Roughly? This totally might just be a me thing, but highlighting the fitness side of things would not have got me into that class room when I was younger...or ever really. [He laughs.]

Seriously? Just like that? You can do it?

Roughly, yeah. And you'd be surprised. I've already got at a collection of young people taking weapons training. But we've had enough emergencies that they need to be able to at least run for safety.

Yeah? Oh- have we not- I lose track of who knows what. Um- I can magic up just about anything apart from a way home. They won't let me go that far. But anything else you might need. It shouldn't be a problem.

I guess that's fair. There were plenty of kids who seemed to like it. Just know gym was pretty much the worst part of the day when I was in school.

There's got to be a limit to that, otherwise we'd all be living in mansions. Don't let people overuse you.

If gym was the worst part of your day then your gym teacher needs fired. Their job is to ensure their students are getting fitness that fits their abilities and needs without shame or anything else. Hope they got fired.

They were...fine. Not great, but fine. It was more the students. School wasn't exactly my favourite place growing up. It might of been if I was the only one there.

Nah, Noct and I are good. I grew up in one. The things are just so empty.

Still a failure of the teachers there. Parents too.

I can help. I'm assuming we're just finding any unused chairs and tables from elsewhere and moving those? Also I have comms if you still need that too.

I do still need Comms help. Would love to get some point of view on how to record lessons to send up there. Clearly the Agrii need it, beyond what the datapoints give.

And yes, moving things would be really helpful. Getting a room or two swept as well.

The moving and cleaning is easy enough. [ with enough people doing something in that part, that should be taken care of in basically no time between them all. ]

for the rest you're thinking, what, record them and then send them in batches or something else?

[Which of course assumes there will be enough people helping. But hey, keeping the class spaces clean after instruction won't be hard. Or so Gladio liked to think. Then again, he grew up in a culture where it was considered part of the duties of a student to help clean the school.]

I think so. And perhaps allow a way for the Agrii to comment on it, so they can ask questions. We called it distance learning back home. Not used often, but used.

We have that too, but also more common in higher levels of education. There'd usually be places for questions, or general discussion, so on. It's kind of sad we don't have access to the kind of internet I'm more used to because there would be some good stuff to add in there too. And cat videos. [ the cat videos are very important ok ]

Yeah, I miss internet too. If nothing else, my fiance likes phone games. He misses those. And cat videos. He lived for cat videos.

As anyone with taste in internet content should. [ live for cat videos, that is. ] I'm assuming people have previously tried to see if they can make basic phone games on these, and failed. [ rip. ]

I honestly don't know. Hasn't been a big selling point here I suppose. You could always try your hand at it. Corner hte market.

[ does he NEED any more silly ideas though?? no (yes). ] If I start needing something else to do, sure. [ But as far as going back to the actual task at hand, he is curious about some things. ]

As far as this plan goes, though, did you run some sort of school where you're from? [ Maybe that had been his interest in getting something like this started. ]

Honestly? No. But I'm educated, and I was a weaponsmaster, so I've got some experience. There's no actual teachers here so far as I can tell, though. We've got to work with what we have.

'Some' is always better than 'none'. [ At least as far as experience goes. ] And anyway, just because someone doesn't have a career in education doesn't mean they don't have useful knowledge to share. [ So, yeah, the working with what they have is the better thing here. Because that would leave the other option of going 'nah not worth it' and that one sucks. ]

That's usually what my take away is. I've convinced a few of our bright residents to help out with instruction with just that outlook.

I'm not going to force all the younger people to go either. But they deserve the chance if they want it.

On the other side, just because someone has a career in education doesn't mean they do well in a classroom. [ ideally of course they should be, but there's always going to be a few cases where a difference between 'should be' and 'reality' is noticeable. ] Who would have guessed that being dropped on an alien planet with no forewarning would mean kind of winging it in projects like these? [ A rhetorical question because hahah. ]

I assume the comms side of this would want to be completed around the same time as the building rooms are all cleaned and set up?

[Yeah, Gladio's met one or two poorly suited educators in his days. Not as many as most people might, but some of them.]

Well, we're going to make do with those who are willing to help.

Probably sooner on the Comms thing to test it if I can.

As far as a start goes, it sounds pretty solid. But yeah that..makes sense, to figure out what breaks or catches on fire sooner rather than later. [ Especially since there will very likely be something that does. ]

Exactly. And to try and teach the Agrii as to what the point of it all is.

Even if they don't really get it, A for effort if everything else goes to plan because no one could say an attempt was not made. That's what counts? [ Sure let's go with that one. ]

I think an attempt gets some points, but I was hoping for some degree of success with it as well.

Well, yes, between the two, that one is also my preference. [ but, you know, sometimes wrenches or dumpster fires happen in plans, so just covering bases here ]
