Did you know you could still get kidnapped within getting kidnapped? [ Max might sound sarcastic about that, but not entirely displeased. ] Thought that would be overkill, but it happened anyway. I was in a good mood about it, too - so it must've been nice - but then I come back to this mess. [ Look, the tension on the Agrii ship has on her edge because it reminds her of her home life before her step-dad took off, so she's not comfortable right now, and trying to stay out of snappish territory over it. ]

I would ask for an explanation, but I don't think I want to hear the answer right now. [ This is when her annoyance and displeasure enter her voice. ]

If someone could let me know when the adults want to act like adults, I'd appreciate it. [ She means the adult Agrii, not her fellow He Rows. She does care about this sort of thing, though, so Max will look into it and get details at some point, but she's annoyed her pleasant feeling from whatever happened on her unplanned vacation is already fading. ]

If other pilots wanna give me a rundown on what we're doing, let's discuss that, instead of this.

They didn't really kidnap me, and I'm not sure. Whatever they did, they took me some place nice? I don't remember what happened. I've gone for a month.

What, really? So you missed the whole spaceport thing?

Spaceport? Last thing I remember was the Agrii ship was damaged and working on repairs. So probably, yeah.

Yeah, we had to go shopping for parts to fix things up. Among other things. Kind of a bummer, that was a pretty cool visit. For once it felt like we were actually on a space adventure.

I don't know what all else anyone brought home but if you want like, a gaming device or something I can hook you up.

It does suck I missed that, because that might have been a good time.

What kind of games does this gaming device have? [ She's used to relying on arcades, so this might completely blow her mind. ]

Maybe we'll get to go again, or find somewhere cooler.

Oh, it's not bad- of course I can't tell if they're just Earth-adjacent or knockoffs or if it's just the original for this universe but there's a lot of familiar classics kind of like Tetris and Pac-Man, good ol' 8-bit and up. But it handles some 3D stuff too, albeit on a tiny screen. Getting it on a bigger screen shouldn't be too difficult though, I can put that on my project list.

Your positive outlook would be grating, but...I'm hoping you're right and we do get to go back so I can check it out.

No Dig Dug? Pac-Man is good, though. I think I'd like one of these.

I mean, we are already sitting in space yet. It's pretty hard not to be positive about it. Also if we do not make any more use of these stupidly fancy spaceship resorts then I am going to revolt.

If you don't find some version of Dig Dug on this thing I would be very surprised. But really, don't worry about it. I refurbish stuff like this all the time for the fam and who am I to withhold entertainment from people?

Cool. Yeah, no hard feelings, it's just a sibling thing.

Tech's always been my specialty! [Preen!] It's just been very frustrating that certain technology here can't be deciphered without data points, and that anything requiring coding needs a separate data point. Ugh.

Nah, I get it. My brother's here, too. And while I want to throttle him, sometimes, he's first. Unless my...off and on again boyfriend shows up.

I can see why that would be irritating. You'd need someone else to get the other data point and work with you. Do you work well with others?

Yep, that is exactly it. Off and on again... Okay that sounds complicated but I guess that's what relationships are.

-but yes, it's annoying that way and while not impossible, I think it just takes more time because of the required collaboration. [SIGH.] ...I...guess I'm not bad at it? I'm just used to doing most of the work.

Maybe you just need to meet someone you collaborate easily with?
