WHO: Radley and everyone
WHERE: The Space Station
WHAT: Getting parts, exploring, investigating mysterious pink aliens
WHEN: Throughout March
WARNINGS: Radley's a sweetheart, so I don't anticipate any.

1. Radley is utterly fascinated by the huge space station. He takes pictures, hoping they'll stay on his phone if he goes back home. Scotch would be so amazed and excited to see everything here.

2. He mostly tries to stay focused on their mission. Being a very charming sort, he manages to trade for some of the needed parts and soon secures a job to pay for more of them. He's very friendly and nice and is able to drum up quite a bit of business.

He also likes strolling around, checking out various places. The one he's working at seems to be an intergalactic F.Y.E. So many movies and records and pop culture goodness. He finds other places selling Earth things too.

3. The thing that startles him most is seeing what looks like some Agrii. He and some others decide this should be investigated, but what they learn baffles him. His own experience nets info that makes sense to him, the aliens being predisposed to worry, but the others' news doesn't make much sense at all. These aliens are violent?! Scary?! Weapon-loving?! And they're called by a different name. Are they Agrii at all? Maybe they're a branch of Agrii that came here and behaved differently? So very strange.

Radley calls a brainstorming meeting at some point to try to figure it all out. He also wants to try talking to some others about it. There must be answers somewhere!

Of course sooner or later a certain woman was going to stroll into Radley's temporary place of work. The woman has of course been doing her own thing around the station, rarely stopping in to check on others unless she was back on her own ship for the night to sleep.

But music? She missed music. And seeing even some old form of American music store wasn't enough to turn her off. No, she strolls right in and pauses only when she sees the employee nearest her.

"Please tell me there is something in this store in actual japanese. I would love to hear music from home."

"There is, actually," Radley says grandly. "We have a whole section for it over this way." He leads her to the Earth World Music section and several rows of Japanese music. He's already bought several albums of anime music he likes. "We have a pretty good selection."

A relief. A delight. Tae follows and sighs in delight in what she sees.

"I am hoping I can find something good."

A touch of home to keep her sane as things progress. How could that not be something she wanted.

"Are the prices reasonable?"

"I hope you can too," Radley says. He's not quite sure where her tastes lie, except not in Disney music.

"Not too bad." He points out some of the cheaper ones. "I was able to get several at these deals."

Punk. So punk. But that doesn't seem as likely to find here. But her fingers do flip through everything just in case.

"It would just be nice to hear the sound of home from someone other than you and Tony and know it's actually what I'm hearing."

In such a broad selection, there would surely be at least a CD or two.

"I hear ya," Radley says. "Funny how this place feels more like home than Agra-10 does."

Does it? Tae frowns at that before shaking her head.

"No. It feels... somehow bare compared to Tokyo. And it's quieter."

"Nothing's really like home, exactly, but we have these stores in America, so it feels familiar to me anyway ... even with the selections from other planets too," Radley adds with a smirk.

"I admit, I have never been to America. But I don't much care one way or another if I can have a touch of home."

And those were so rare in coming, given how many of the humans on Agra-10 were American.

"I hope you can," Radley says. "Have you found anything promising there?" He indicates the CDs.

Yes, she's already selected two things. But now something else is occurring to her.

"I don't suppose they sell CD players. I definitely don't have one back on the ship."

"Oh yeah, there are lots of CD players," Radley says. "They have every kind of tech there is ... or was." He even saw cassette and 8-track players.

Did they though? Surely there are other ones as well. Still, she's pleased to know that she can get what she wants.

"Something blue or red I should think."

Well, every kind Radley knows about, anyway, and some he doesn't.

"Cool. I definitely saw some like that." Radley leads her to the right aisle.

"Wonderful," she says, content to follow. She wouldn't mind making sure she's got the music. "Just to have something to unwind with will be pleasant."

Radley smiles and shows her to the CD player aisle. "Here you go. We have just about every color imaginable." Even various shades of pink. "Plenty of different styles too, for every aspect of life." One side of the aisle was all portable players. The other was the kind to set up somewhere.

Why would anyone want various shades of pink? But she's definitely looking at the portables.

"Thank you. These shall be wonderful. Just for when I need to unwind at night. Wonder if one of the engineers can convert this to rechargable based on the crystals..."

"I wouldn't be surprised," Radley muses. "Maybe I'll ask them that about mine too."

"Sounds like a plan," she says as she finishes with her selections. "Shall we ring me up then?"

"Right this way," Radley says, and leads her to the check-out lanes. He rings up her purchases and tells her the amount.

Wonderful. She forks over the proper exchange credit chips, showing she'd been building money through trade, and nods.

"See you later," she promises as she takes her bag. "And thank you."

"Have a wonderful day," Radley says. "Come back any time."

She nods and offers a brief wave before heading out. Time to get her music on.
