You were about when we came back from snowland and had access to the Agrii ship, right? Think I saw you stalking around.

Anyway, we were gonna head back to Agra Ten but something happened when they tried opening the portal back for the ships. Now we got a mess in Engineering to fix. Slightly less of a mess, but still a mess.

I was on their ship.

[ So there's your confirmation. ]

Why do we need to fix their ship?

Because without it, we can't really get anywhere too far, and believe me, you don't wanna go floating around space without some kinda jump capabilities. Unfortunately our ships aren't kitted for that kind of thing, and neither are the shuttles.

I know the reason for the repairs. I want to know why we need to do these repairs. Who caused the explosion?

You've already experienced the Agrii. Do you think they're equipped to go out and find things for repair? They can barely talk to us as it is, and quite frankly, I think the galaxy would eat most of them alive.

Don't know if we've figured out that part yet.

They have the technology to create basically everything out of nothing and are capable to build entire ships without leaving theirs. They shouldn't require us to do anything unless the damage is blamed on a member or more of our group.

At some point they will have to face the galaxy they live in as a space faring species.

They have taken who knows how long to even figure that they have a grasp of technology enough to build spaceships. It took us time to figure out how to even get to the moon, but to go beyond that, even we had help. These guys have had to work everything out themselves, and are still learning things as they go along. It's frustrating, but someone's had it out for them but wants to string them along- and us.

[ And he's not impressed. ]

And instead of tracking that someone down and end this farce, everyone just plays along. And for what? For them to return to a place that is hostile to their species? Has anyone even considered that returning to that wasteland of a planet is not the right call? They have been living on a space ship for generations. Time that would have been better spent settling down on a different planet entirely.

[ If they have learned anything by now, then that they are constantly being watched regardless of what they do. So Wesker couldn't care less about the network not being secure. Though he sure hopes that whoever is listening in takes their gained knowledge as a fair warning. ]

[Cayde isn't convinced their Watchers are incapable of making mistakes. They were after all defeated once. They can slip up.]

Heh, you got a list? Don't worry, it's not like anyone's been twiddling fingers. Anyone who knows anything's had a look at the mess and an idea of what we needa get. And I mean, there's plenty of opportunities to be had if we're going some place. I hear this one's a spaceport.

And then the universe began expanding, further and further in every direction, and in some of those directions itty bitty lifeforms started forming and evolving.

[ Correction: He is smart. And he's pulling out a notepad to make a small note. ]

[ Wesker doesn't need them to slip up. He's confident that he can take them even if they play their cards flawlessly. ]

[ Which must be like a port. In space. For space ships. Wesker hasn't engaged with enough science fiction to have a mental image of what to expect. ]

And they are sending everyone.

[ That sounds like they are headed for the least organized school trip in existence. ]

Yep! Not the first time they've sent everyone off somewhere. This is probably the first time for you, huh? It hasn't been too often- we've hit a couple of other worlds before, some scavenger hunt or another.

[ He’s not giving a direct answer, but Cayde isn’t wrong that Wesker hasn’t been involved with any ventures to other planets so far. ]

What about those not directly involved with the repairs and acquiring the necessary parts?

Opportunities. [Cayde repeats with a grin. It's a broad horizon there.]

[ And he does. He's basically being handed a ticket to do whatever he deems worth doing in that place while others take care of the errands the Agrii want them to do. Wesker gives a small nod of understanding. Yes, he can certainly find something worthwhile to do. ]

Eventually some of those lifeforms decided to crawl on out of the water and keep evolving in all sorts of things, and a whole bunch of time passed with big epic dinosaurs and other giant creatures, and then an asteroid hit and ruined that almost everywhere, but yay, it meant humans could eventually come on the scene. And they might not be as cool as dinosaurs, but they had were a lot more fashionable. For the most part.

Some of us have been working on figuring out who or what caused this. You wanna help, you can help instead of complaining.

[ He merely expects those he has to deal with to be smarter and more mature than the average six-year-old. Though at the same time Wesker already has high expectations of a six year old child. But since this is how she wants to play it, he raises a finger to point something out. ]

According to you, this happened all over the universe. The universe itself can not get hit by an asteroid. Please keep important details such as locations precise in your ongoing report. If you chose to focus on a single planet while ignoring the rest, specify which planet that is and why you chose it over others. I still expect the report to cover those other planets as well of course.

[ He lowers his finger and makes a motion for her to continue. ]

Investigating the explosion site, and doing techy nerd stuff with the computers there. I'm not personally doing the techy nerd stuff, but-- whatever; are you gonna answer my question? If you don't care about repairs but you do care about figuring out the cause of the explosion, what have you been up to?
