1. Engineering Well, Fang is certainly glad he has the Engineering datapoint once everything goes kablooey. Why is he not surprised that something goes wrong on the trip back to Agra-10? As he's shuttled to Engineering, he tries to find out exactly what's going on.

"So what happened? Was this an accident? Or was it sabotage?"

Maybe those other aliens decided to cause some trouble.

2. Around the shipThe more Fang learns about what happened, the more concerned he is. This is a bad, bad problem. He's started making a list of at least some of what's needed to fix it and already it's long. He's looking all over the ship to see how much of the stuff is onboard already. Hopefully all of it is, but honestly, he really sort of doubts it by this point. And it's probably not going to be easy to acquire either.

Do you see Fang looking around and offer help? Do you just follow him around and talk about what happened? Does he find you shaken up by everything?

2 - Cargo Hold? lmk if it's good

This is a terrible problem, that's true. Which leaves a lot of people doing a lot of different work that they normally wouldn't be up to. Like here, in the cargo hold, where a blur is moving between storage areas, opening them noisily, and sorting through them quickly while typing things onto a communication device. Clearly he's making notes.

Inventory in here sucks and someone needs to make a new one and fuck if Tommy's not failing at sleep right now, so he's doing something useful the best he can.

Fang is certainly used to speedsters breezing past. At first he thinks it's Sonic, but then he realizes it's that other fleet-feet guy.

"... You find much of what we need?" he greets.

"We have a list?" Tommy asks. He looks like he hasn't gotten a lot of sleep lately, what with the dark circles under his eyes. "Just making a better inventory of this place."

Which was pretty useful he thought.

Definitely useful, especially now.

"Probably just a partial one, the way things go, but yeah." Fang holds it out. "You see any of these things?"

Tommy takes the list and lets his eyes rove over it. Then he nods.

"Yeah, let me message you the crates they're contained in."

Fang perks up. "Great! How many of 'em have we got?"

Tommy's already typing up the list and crates and just sends that over.

"Not as much as you'd like I'm guessing. Not as much as anyone has liked.

"Yeah, that figures," Fang scowls. "Wonder how we'll get the rest of it...."

"Not their fault," Tommy says, and he feels tired because it feels like he's been defending the Agrii so much lately. "They're basically just kids, okay? And it's clear they've never been down there. How could they know what they'd need?"

Sure, he doesn't know how to make it better for them, how to fix anything, but it's still the best point he can suggest.

"I never said it was," Fang retorts. But he's still exasperated. Of course they'd be out in space without all the parts they need. Isn't that always the way of it? This is way worse than when his hoverbike breaks down back home. At least there he's on a planet's surface. Here ... well, who knows how far it is to the nearest ship supply store?!

"Well good," he says. It's stupid to be so defensive of them, but Tommy kind of gets it. Sometimes you're just raised completely out of your element.

"I don't think they're supposed to be in space at all."

"They sure make impressive tech, though," Fang says. He's been fascinated by it from the start.

Yeah, there was that, but...

"If you ask Keith or Lance or Soldier, they'd tell you the old ships were Atroma. And there's a chance that this place is too. The Agrii don't seem space faring in the video about the end of their time on Agra-10. It's all very suspicious."

"Hmm. I wonder how they'd get the tech of their enemies," Fang muses. He had noticed that about the video too.

"It's not that shocking, is it? The Atroma probably fucked their world up, and guided the Drift Fleet. Why wouldn't they have hands in the ship the Agrii ended up on?"

They seemed like they had been a power in space.

"Drift Fleet?" Fang gives him a blank look. "What in the world is that?"

Hoooo boy. Tommy sighs.

"You're going to want to find Keith or Lance or the Soldier to get the best answer you can about that. But you can also hit up the theater here when things let up, if we're allowed to stay on the ship. To learn."

"Sounds good to me. We should know everything we can about this place and these guys," Fang says. "Maybe a fresh mind can come up with some new ideas."

He did not want to be taken by surprise if he didn't have to be.

"You're newer here, aren't you?" Tommy asks. Because some people would have had a chance to do that research before now.

"You know, just gotta ask. Do you know Sonic? I mean, you look like you might be from the same world from him. And, uh, sorry if that's rude to assume."

"Yeah, probably about a month or so," Fang says. "And sure, I know Fleet-Feet. Another version of him, anyway. Was surprised to get here and find another speedster too."

"Yeah, he was a real shock when he showed up. Not that I personally know everyone who is fast back home, but I know a lot of them. And a hedgehog, especially a blue one, was not on the page of expectations."

So he just had to work with it, strange as it was.

"Heh. Yeah, I don't think we're from your world," Fang says.

"That much is pretty clear," he agrees with a nod. Not that there aren't talking animals sometimes. Just... not like these.

"Yeah, our world don't have much in the way of superheroes," Fang says. "Except for Sonic and his pals."

"Really? His pals are heroes too?"

That's sort of cool. Clearly Sonic was, he'd saved Tommy's life. And then Tommy had saved his. There was mutual saving going on there.
