Snowball Fights Around the Village

This wouldn't be the first time Keith had been turned into a kid, honestly. It wasn't even the first time it had happened to him with his memories intact. But, it did make it an even two-for-two on memories vs no memories...

Why was he keeping count?

He huffed a sigh, watching some of the other off-worlders who'd been turned to kids enjoy the snow instead of being scared at being kids with no idea where they were. Unless some of them still had their memories like he did, and they just wanted to have fun.

Honestly, Keith was tempted, too. But, even when he was actually still a kid, he'd tended to hold back from things like this. Maybe, if the right person came along, he could be convinced to join in...]

Keith also didn't exactly go running to the barn to pick up a gift. The idea of getting them was still something he tended to not think about too often until-

SMASH!

The front door was bashed open and a couple of boxes were dropped inside. He stared for a second, mildly concerned, but then remember the gifting stuff from last year.

Right. That was a thing here.

There were two boxes with his name, so... he picked up the smaller one first. It was easier to handle at his current size. When he opened it, he immediately recognized the journal/sketchbook that Shiro in Drift Fleet had given him, the pen still neatly tied in the lacing like the last time he'd left it. He quickly opened it, thumbing through the pages. It was there... his sketches, his notes... not everything was related to clues and things from Drift Fleet. There were some more personal sketches and things in there, too. The further in one got, the more sketches of Lance there were...

Keith smiled slightly, a soft nostalgic look.

Once he'd poked through it enough to satisfy himself for now, he gently put it aside and then went to try opening the bigger box. Inside was his red Paladin armor from Voltron. He gasped a bit in surprise, but was honestly glad to have it. Running around without it had been feeling a little risky, to be honest. He'd gotten used to having it or his Blade armor at least, even in Drift Fleet. He hadn't had either one since arriving in Temba, and he still didn't exactly feel right without it during potentially dangerous moments.

Did the Agrii just give Keith license to do crazy things?

"Oh, right... like you've probably never tried that before?" Keith gave him a suspicious look. "How can I trust you that you won't just go fast anyway?" Keith hadn't exactly been a trusting kid. But, also? He kind of just really wanted to hit Tommy with a snowball.......

"Gonna have to take my word for it," Tommy says with a shrug. That's all he can offer.

Keith studied him, internally debating just how much Tommy was going to let him get away with, but he finally uncrossed his arms.

"Alright... but I definitely get a free shot if you trick me again."

"Cool."

If only Tommy knew to say 'same'. But the kid is just that. A kid. What could it hurt?

"Fine." Welp... now was the real test. Keith scooped up another snowball. "Well?" He wasn't going to just blast Tommy in the face. The whole point was that this was supposed to be a snowball fight, right?

Tommy's definitely standing there, waiting.

"I'm dodging if you throw it at my face or junk."

Okay, Keith couldn't help it. He had to laugh at that. But really, what young teenage wouldn't laugh at a joke about someone's junk?

"Yeah, yeah... fine. I'm not like that anyway. Those are unfair blows," he said. Not that it didn't happen sometimes on accident in the middle of a fight, but Keith wasn't the type to aim for it on someone he considered a friend.

But, welp... if he was getting a free shot, might as well take it. He aimed at Tommy's arm and threw. Keith might not be great at shooting guns, but he was good at throwing things (usually knives and swords...).

At least Tommy was being a good target too. He lets the snowball hit him. See. All good.

"Probably good enough aim for you to go join them, kid."

Keith actually smirked now, and then chuckled.

"Nah, they're kind of young for me." He crossed his arms, looking a little smug.

"I'm just surprised you let me hit you."

Wait... was Keith implying he already knew who Tommy was? Hmm... maybe...

"Oh you little shit," Tommy laughs. What a fucking asshole. "You fucker you had the chocolate that makes you small but not a kid."

Keith actually laughed.

"I was wondering if you were gonna figure it out."

"Oh you absolute punk. You're lucky I don't dump a whole snowman on your head."

WHich he won't. Because he loves that the guy went for it and committed to the bit so well.

"I'll consider myself lucky, then."

Keith looked smug for a moment, though. "But, hey... I got to hit you with a snowball." Yes, he was totally going to rub that in. "Totally worth it."

Tommy snorted.

"You know what, just for that...."

YOu better believe there's an arm load dumped over Keith's head.

Keith yelped, scrambling to get away. He was only partially successful... and was brushing snow and wet from his thick hair in the aftermath.

Fair. Fair.

He deserved it.

"Grats. You deserve that," he says with a smile. "But it was a good joke."

Keith actually laughed a bit once he had most of the snow out of his hair. He'd be damp, but it wasn't bad.

"Thanks." He seemed proud of himself, honestly. "I wasn't sure how much longer I could keep it going, to be honest."

"Well, you already did it long enough to really fuck with me, man. I say you did enough," he laughs. Because that's just how it goes, right?

Keith chuckled.

"And I managed to get you to stay still long enough to let me hit you with a snowball." He smirked. "I definitely call that a win."

"Yeah, cheater," Tommy laughs before shooting him a wink. "Now go play, nerd. I've got people to find and talk to."

"Wooooow..." Keith laughed. Look, he wasn't a kid. Playing wasn't his thing. But tagging along after Tommy to annoy him? Maybe that was his thing... "You say that like I'm a kid or something."

"I mean, at the moment you are. LIve it up man."

"Maybe," Keith said, looking off at some of the others taking advantage of their transformations... or just not realizing they weren't actually kids because they'd taken the other candy. "But like, dude... you made it sound like you had better things to do, too." Keith gave him a judgmental pout.

"I do," he laughs. "I'm a speedster. Cold is my antithesis. I'm going the fuck inside."

Fair. That got a laugh from Keith.

"Fine," he said. "Though, you know... some people might tell you to watch your language around a kid." He smirked. Like he was really a kid...
