A very Metal Christmas
Who: Eddie Munson, Steve Harrington
What: Xmas Love
Where: Diner, Former pool, now ice rink
When: Late Dec/Early Jan?
Warnings: Corniness? Horniness? TBD
SomehowPalpatine returned, Eddie had managed to untangle himself from Steve without waking him, despite Steve clearly being the morning person between the two of them.
On his pillow he had left an origami bat with a little festive scarf taped to it, and a note: MEET ME AT THE DINER <3
Once Steve arrived Eddie was ready and waiting with hot-chocolate and grin as he pushed a pair of skates across the table. "You know how?"

It took almost no time for him to get dressed and head out to the diner. When he saw Eddie, he grinned ear to ear, so fucking charmed by the metalhead. How was he so cute?
"I mean, I used to? It's been awhile since I tried but I think it's gotta be like riding a bike, right?" He can't stop smiling. "You?"
no subject
"Mm- I might need someone to hold onto," he said, taking Stark's advice to downplay whatever skill he might have (and it wasn't a lot to start with), "Think you can handle that?" He slid out of the booth and took a steaming cup and his own pair of skates, "Come on, I know the perfect place."
no subject
"You might, huh? I think I can definitely handle that." He sips on his drink and nudges Eddie with his elbow. "An origami bat, hot chocolate, and ice skating? Are you trying to out-romance me, Munson?"
no subject
"I'm trying," Eddie laughed, "But you made it pretty damn hard for me, Harrington," he teased right back, bumping him with his shoulder in turn and heading towards the civics building. "But I figure I had to at least try to out play you at your own game for Christmas."
no subject
"I love you so much," he said with a laugh and another kiss, but this time to his temple. "And I think you might be in the lead, man. Hot chocolate is like at least twenty points on its own. I'm not sure how I can top that for Valentine's."
no subject
"Oh, yeah, I forgot about that one. Shit. Am I gonna have to find a box of chocolates and start practicing my love ballads?" he teased.
no subject
Still, he's excited. And the idea of Valentine's day does nothing to dampen it. "Play one of my pop songs and that'll be perfect. Chocolate will probably be peanut butter around here."
no subject
"Yeah? Is that all it takes, just croon a little Wham! at you and you're mine?"
no subject
He made a show of thinking for a second. "Buuuut...It would make me really happy and probably get you laid. So still a good trade, I think."
no subject
"Laid is good. Happy too," he added, nudging his elbow into Steve's ribs with a smirk.
They reached the frozen pool, and Eddie found a place to set down their drinks after taking a long sip, breath hanging in the air. "Let's hope that bike thing is true and you can keep me from falling on my ass," he said, taking a seat and starting to tug off his boots.
no subject
"I am very fond of that ass so I think I can be trusted to guard it. C'mon..." Steve struggles up and extends his hands for Eddie to help him up. "You can trust me, baby..."
no subject
"There's not a lot of it, so you gotta protect it," Eddie laughs, using his help to get to his feet, ankles wobbling a little as he leans on Steve with a flush. "...been a while."
no subject
"Okay. So... If I remember, the trick is to not lift your feet too much. Just a little. Push with one and then...just let the other one slide."
no subject
Tony had been right, this was definitely a good idea for a date.
"Like this?" His fingers stay tangled with Steve's, and in the cold the warmth feels pronounced.
no subject
"I won't lie: I forgot how to stop. Usually I crash into a wall, but...."
no subject
He laughs, face flush. "Heh- same. That or fall." Which- oop, now that he mentions it, Eddie's feet slide out from under him, pulling Steve down with him.
no subject
"You hit anything important over there? You know, I didn't need a demonstration. I would have believed you."
no subject
"I wish I could say I was pulling a move."
no subject
Steve moves off Eddie and falls to the side. He sits there a sec, reaching to help his boyfriend up.
"Sure. That's what I said too when I was toootally pulling moves." He grins and leans in to give him a kiss to his cheek. "Don't worry: even when you're not trying, it's working."
