[Open] Yet Another Clinic Set-Up
WHO: Tae Takemi, Open
WHERE: Glitter Food Clinic
WHAT: Tae is not amused by another set up project
WHEN: Shortly after boarding ships
WARNINGS: Possible cursing
Cue clinic number four. Tae sat down in one of the spinning chairs in the medical facility and contemplated the space around her. Because how could she not? And while she does the woman glares at the space around her. Missing vital technology. Missing tools for diagnosis and compounding. Missing surgical gear and even most of the basic first aid supplies.
"A year of work to get what we could up and running, and now you do this to me," she says, voice sharp as she regards the air. "Bad enough that you kidnap me for your plans and dump me on a planet with insufficient medical structure, but you've had me cart my supplies all over and now this."
Tae spins in the chair, arms wide, taking in the space around her. A space that wasn't even as set up as her emergency clinics through their various crises. This absolutely lacking space.
"And you didn't even let me bring my tools or gear. That's a serious lack of foresight. Do you not truly have medical professionals at this point? Do you not understand the barrier you've created?"
Clearly someone was far from pleased with the whole situation she's found herself in.
"If I'd wanted to be a space explorer I'd have gone to school for that!"

"Give me your shoes," he greeted, welcoming himself in to the clinic and onto the chair that faced Tae, rolling himself up close with his hands already out impatiently.
no subject
"Excuse me?"
Her tirade against the mess of this place was absolutely cut off by her shock.
In fact, her eyes go down to the heel free winter boots. They weren't cute, they weren't deadly weapons, and they weren't even what she'd normally use when walking around on a ship. But they were what she'd shown up in.

"Disappointed you can't ask me to step on you and put you in your place with these? Let's face it, I had enough issues walking in the ice and snow when I got here last winter that I decided snow boots would be useful. And a lower center of gravity. So these were what I was wearing when the music started."
She'd been on her way to the diner for a nice morning tea and breakfast. That would teach her.

"Seems like something that wouldn't go with the beach, but I suppose this isn't the anime beach episode. Alright. Bring me shoes to trade with, and I'll let you have these. Though I suppose if you could replicate shoes that served, you wouldn't be here."
Don't say she isn't smart. So she leans back, crosses her legs, and looks at him with a smirk.
"I think, in addition to replicating me a pair of sensible but sexy shoes, I'm going to have to add one more thing into the bargain. I'll need to know why you need my shoes in particular."

"You came in deliberately asking for them Tony. You can't blame a girl for being curious. They don't even seem to be Jon's size from what little I know, so I can't see you borrowing them for him."
no subject
no subject
"Provided you return with another pair of shoes, or perhaps these, by tomorrow, I can forgive the taking them."

"Tony, are you going to force me to walk around barefoot for days? That isn't gentlemanly."

Because she's interested by how he's handling all of this.

Whatever help he needs, she'll give. For now, though, she waves him off.
"Now, I have more bitching about the Agrii's decisions to do before I've gotten off enough steam to see to being productive. Allow a woman the illusion that she isn't a vile mouthed, fully sneering beast when people can see her."

Instead, he gets distracted by some serious griping coming from the clinic and goes in to investigate. "You seem pleased about these arrangements," he remarks, tone dripping with sarcasm. He lifts a hand to idly rub his fingertips over one of the jawline scars before shoving it into his hoodie pocket. "Pretty sure we could probably replicate enough supplies for you to outfit this place, too."
no subject
"I've spent the last year working on supplies for the hospital. I've finally gotten it into a place where I feel like I can start handling things. And now they are taking it away from me. Yes I'm angry."
Desperately angry. Makes her want to kick someone.
no subject
"I guess knowing how you have it in the hospital gives you a good blueprint in getting this one set up? Maybe I could help. Build what you need if you need it, or at least design it and get someone to build it. Or help you tote supplies here n' shit. Can't carry much of heavy stuff, but I can help with bins and stuff."
no subject
"Yes, it is useful to some degree, but this is still maddening. But there is no guarantee that we are to be taken from these ships. And maintaining multiple emergency supply reserves is a whole other task that cuts into work time."
So yes, she's insanely frustrated.
"I wish these idiot aliens gave us warning about the stupid shit they're about to do."
no subject
"Anyways, you could keep stuff here that is low maintenance. Stuff that isn't fluids, and then see if the replicators on here can make the fluids you need?" He gestures unhelpfully because he's never tried to help anyone in medical. "And if the aliens told us their plans, that wouldn't keep any of us on our damn toes now, would it?"
A pause.
"I don't think they planned the volcano though."
no subject
"One day a therapist will show up here and they will move to Sh'Ka so they don't have to deal with all the trauma going on here."
But the plan isn't a horrible one.
"Markus thought very similarly when it came to arranging things and planning them out," she says with a sigh. "But I shall definitely note it all down. And yes, the volcano was clearly unplanned. Not very organized, our hosts."
no subject
"You met Markus? He's from my world. I think he was sent back recently." Made sense. Detroit and the deviants needed him more than Temba apparently did. "He's good at being organized. He was our leader and damn good at it. I know he at least got out of Jericho okay which is all that ultimately mattered I think."
He looks around at the gathered items. "We should make you a little cart with wheels. To help move things between the ship and the clinic as you need them if you gotta move shit around."
no subject
A cart with wheels. What a thing to long for.
"That will help, provided the roads are good enough to navigate. Things have gotten bad since I arrived last year."
no subject
"Yeah, our roads are shit. You'd have to get something like a tank would use or maybe find a way to invent a hovercart. I think the tank tracks would be better with the state of the roads. Unless somehow the Agrii magically fund us with the supplies and tools we need to fix them."
Although now his mind is working over if there was a possibility of doing hover technology or tank treads
no subject
Because it seems like a logical thing to ask for. A way to repair the damage that has been done. Surely they should be doing that, if only for their own safety. She's going to have to deal with a log of hole related injuries.
no subject
"I can see if there's anyone that has access to making something like tank treads at some point. It can't be that hard to make, because they're smaller than what one would need for an actual tank. How big would you need a cart like that? A few basket-style containers, fashioned in a three-tiered system like a bookcase?" It's clear his programming is latching onto something like this. A small project that would help someone else, if only he could get the supplies for it.
no subject
"Perhaps that would serve. I could put heavier equipment on the middle to center the weight but still make it simple enough to take out. Compounding gear and materials in the bottom. Most commonly used things in the top."
She's definitely considering this.
"Maybe a few hooks on the side to hang things. And some way to lock the wheels or treads."
no subject
"A larger cart then. Sturdy tank-style treads to help cover the terrain of the city from point A to point B. Definitely have to make sure the gears move smoothly to help ease the pushing of all that weight." Depending on how heavy the equipment was that Tae was trying to move after all.
It's starting to come together in his mind at least. "Hooks definitely on its side and possibly some of the baskets/containers." He looks at Tae. "I can try to draw up blueprints, but I'm not going to guarantee anything. I'll try at least."

But York definitely has thoughts. He'll have to try and draw something up and then go out on the network to see if someone could help him actually create it. "Do you need any help now? If not, I'll get out of your hair."
yay wrap
But she appreciated those with a more mechanical engineering mind.
