[Open] A Party Of Two
WHO: Lark (and Little Bear), Open
WHERE: Peanut Party
WHAT: A Woman and her Dog on a Spaceship
WHEN: During The Ship Event
WARNINGS: N/A
Music as a lure was not something that shocked Lark. Had Sandry and her student not used music and dance to lure people before? This made sense, and it was in a way more pleasant than other means by which they had been brought to the ships before.
It also helped that she could not be quite so upset about it as she watched what was happening now.
Lark sat near where the forest turned to beach and laughed as Little Bear went loping off after the recently thrown stick. The dog was having so much fun, his tail wagging wildly as he bounced onto it and caught it up. Then the dog's sets flirted one way and the other before he raced back to her, dropping the stick with a proud little wuff.
"My arm is getting sore. Perhaps it is time to take a rest," she suggests to the dog. And only earned another little bark.
"Or not," Lark laughed, catching up the stick again to toss. "I fear I'll have to get someone else to help me entertain you, Little Bear."

That had been a huge pain in the ass.
But he heard barking and went to investigate. Sure enough he spotted Lark lifting the stick.
Walking over to them, he nodded to her. "Hey I can help entertain him."
no subject
"That would be quite appreciated. He has a good bit of energy. I think it is something in the music."
And she truly cannot keep up with him.
no subject
"He always seems to have a lot of energy. Wish he'd let us borrow it from time to time."
no subject
"Indeed. But he is little more than a pup himself, so it makes sense."
no subject
Looking over at Lark, he nodded. "One day he'll grow out of it."
no subject
"Perhaps he shall," she agrees. "But for now he needs the energy dealt with, so I am grateful."

"He reminds me of the children, and that brings me some measure of comfort."

Of course the pup came back and Noctis tossed it again for him and shook his head. "It's a comfort to have someone from home."

no subject
"Ya, he's my Shield back home, but here..he's more than that."
Because they both had the freedom to be that in this place.

It's pure coincidence that the man comes across Lark and Little Bear. He studies them for a few short moments before approaching. "He is the only dog on this entire planet, isn't he." Wesker observes with a small tip of his head in greeting. This lady is not someone he has spoken to before.
no subject
"Yes," she agrees with a gentle nod of her head. "Little Bear seems to be the only there is. I do not know if there was one here before he came, but I have not known another here since."
no subject
He gives a small nod himself at that reply, taking a moment to consider the canine. Wesker isn't a pet person, but he has worked with some of the guard dogs at the mansion. They were well trained and followed orders well, which has been something Wesker could appreciate.
"Albert Wesker." He opts to introduce himself. "It appears we are trapped on the same ship."
no subject
"Lark. And it is a lovelier ship than we have had before. It is wondrous. I do not feel trapped."
no subject
"Hopefully they don't plan to launch us into space without warning." These surprises are getting annoying.
no subject
"Yes, the trip to Eorzea was rather jarringly sudden I suppose."
no subject
"How many of these trips have there been?"
no subject
How does she explain them?
"The Agrii thought there were secrets there we needed to acquire. To connect to. I think people found stones, with art on them. Crafted by the plant-kin that live here."
She doesn't know what happened with those actually.
no subject
"But this main objective wasn't the only thing you were able to do." Wesker assumes. Lark didn't sound like she was involved with seeking those items herself.
no subject
Which had helped her here quite a bit. It had been a delight for her, to get to talk to other crafters again.
no subject
Weaving and working with fabrics is not a useless skill in the situation they all have found themselves in.
no subject
Which she would not choose to do back home. Things here required more active work when she is the primary provider of cloth.
