We've pulled crazier stunts than this
WHO: Poe Dameron, OPEN
WHERE: Bishop, Temba, Storm
WHAT: Event stuff
WHEN: Start through end of the Energy Storm Event
WARNINGS: TBD
Bishop
The pull to the ships is just as strong as before, and Poe finds himself back behind the controls as they take off. But this time they finally get their first real glimpse of the ones who've brought them here. Poe listens carefully, and when the message ends he finds he can fly the ship for real now, and there's a map that seems to have two destinations.
Poe knows which one he wants to speed towards, but he needs to consult with his crew first and find out who wants to be dropped back in Temba first.
Network, Video
[Poe's currently flying , so the angles not great on this one.]
I'm stopping back in Temba to left anyone who wants. If anyone else needs a ride for some reason, you're welcome on Bishop, but I'm not stopping for long.
The flight
The storm is huge. Not the sort of thing you want to fly into, but that's exactly where Poe guides the ship. The winds tear at it, but luckily, Poe's a damn good pilot, and he's able to keep control. But it's rough, takes almost everything he has to land the thing without tearing it apart, which doesn't bode especially well for actually stepping out into the storm does it?
The storm
The rain beats down, and it's hard to see as it is, but as Poe presses on he's sure he can see figures just ahead, faces that seem familiar but just out of reach, and when he tries to call after them they seem to disappear.
BB-8 keeps insisting there's nothing there, but Poe seems increasingly distracted, in very real danger of taking off after them.
Help
There's an urgent beeping of droidspeak you may be able to hear over the storm. If you follow it you'll find BB-8 by the edge of a deep crack in the ground, trying desperately to pull Poe up from it with his winch, but he's not nearly strong enough. The astromech looks pleadingly to you to assist.
Network, Video [The Return]
[Poe's standing outside of the Bishop, scanning the horizon line.]
Anyone else out there need a ride back? We're still here, if you can get to us. If you can't, hold tight. I'll fly my crew back, and come back for you, okay? You just need to tell me where you're at.
[OOC: Feel free to reply with any other starters, or in any other format/tense]

"How do you mean?" he presses, unclipping himself and moving back to check on him, "You all right?"
no subject
Looking more than a little shaken, Cal lifts his head towards Poe as the pilot approaches. "Yeah...no... I don't..." He shakes his head. "I can't sense it." He's hesitant, but he figures he's already spoken to a self-proclaimed Sith, and being so far removed from their galaxy, it doesn't seem like it would matter.
"The Force. It probably doesn't mean anything to you, but it's this sort of energy present in everything, and usually I can sense things through it, but the moment we got into the deep of this storm, it's like it just vanished."
no subject
He considers for a moment, looking back towards the controls. "...You sure you wanna be out here?"
no subject
He tugs at his poncho, smoothing it out under the leather straps of his harness. BD-1 echoes Poe's concerns, and the padawan can't blame either for asking. He has to ask it himself.
"Not really," he admits after taking a big breath. "But we came out all this way, and we're supposed to figure out what's going on with this storm, right?"
no subject
"I'm Poe, by the way. Poe Dameron," he introduces, "And that's BB-8." The droid gives a warbling greeting.
no subject
He nods at the two. Introductions. He can handle that, and it takes some of the edge off his anxiety. "Cal Kestis," he says. "This is BD-1. -nice landing, by the way."
no subject
"Thanks. You're lucky you got paired up with a pilot. Not the first time I've had to land in a storm like that."
no subject
"Not the first storm I've had to land in either. Guess I'm fortunate enough to end up with some skilled pilots. Although I wonder what we're supposed to do to stop something like that."
It can hardly be forgotten, now that they sit in the middle of it all. He still feels off for the lack of being able to sense the Force, but at the very least he looks less shaken than he did a while ago.
no subject
What they're supposed to do is well beyond him, but he guesses the answer must be out there somewhere. "I guess there must be something the Agrii think we can accomplish out there." He pushes a button to open the doors, and the storm seems all the worse when they can hear it properly.
no subject
He moves closer to the hatch, flinching as the wind gusts in once it's opened. It doesn't sound any more promising than it had been when they'd landed. "Hopefully," he mutters. "It'd be a real problem for us if they were wrong about it."
Tugging up his hood, he takes a step out into the wind-whipped rains, bringing a hand up to shield his face. BD-1 hunkers low behind him. "Wish they'd had a little more to go on than just that we had to stop this storm somehow!" he says as he glances back towards Poe, having to raise his voice above the noise.
no subject
"Keep a mental picture of the ship, in case we get separated. We'll meet back here if that happens."
no subject
As it is, he imagines most of his focus is going to be on keeping one foot in front of the other. The wind yanks his hood back, and with the rain practically going sideways Cal doesn't bother to pull it back on. Behind him he can hear BD-1 hooting worriedly.
"Yeah, I'm not sure this is a great idea either. But we're here so..."
He flinches as a bolt of lightning comes cracking down towards a nearby tree, shielding his eyes. "Whoa!"
Looking back to see if Poe's all right, he glances back to where the tree...was? "...that's...not exactly promising."
no subject
"...No it is not," he agrees, frowning and looking to the droids with concern.
no subject
"Think it'd be safer for them on the ship?" he asks when he catches Poe's eye. He hears BD-1 protest, feeling a stab of guilt. "I know you want to, but I don't want to risk anything happening to you or BeeBee-Eight."
