Log: Investigating the ships

Radley is rather freaked and displeased by the pull to go to the ships caused by the music. He doesn't need to be mind-influenced to want to check them out! He stares at them in amazed shock before going to the shuttle that takes him into his ship. It's thoroughly fascinating, like the best parts of Temba are all gathered onboard the ship.

Diner

He inspects the area with a careful eye. "There better be everything I need to make real food," he remarks when he sees the food paste dispensers.

Library

"Cat beds, huh? We get to bring the kitties with us?" he muses as he studies the library and picks up a random cassette to look at.

Room

"Oh, I can definitely get used to this," he says as he tries out the bed. Yes, he likes this very much!

Angeal is here, scoping things out. If there's one thing he's good at it's cooking. The Keepers of Honour club said he was 'mean with leftovers' which was true but leftovers had to come from somewhere.

Hearing the other mention food, Angeal looked over. "Agreed. I'm not sure how people live on that other stuff."

He refuses to acknowledge it.

Radley smirks darkly. "I had to eat it right after I arrived. I showed up on a ship. Yeaaah, that was not fun."

"I have to say I'm sorry then." Angeal replied, grossed out at the thought. "There are other things to eat here."

[crystalmaster]

"Yeah, I try to make sure there's always good food around now," Radley said.

That gave Angeal pause and he nodded. "I'm not familiar with everything here. But what is here regarding meat typically?"

[crystalmaster]

"There's several kinds of animals that provide meat," Radley says. "Fish too. Some animal meat most people here don't wanna have, like from the woolly horses they call Glownies. It's really good, I'm told, but they don't wanna kill the Glownies. They're pretty useful alive with their wool."

Angeal had no idea what a horse was, but he could no doubt find out. "Noted. I suppose I'll have to find out what particular things are out there. That would be useful to make sure that whatever is supposed to pass for food doesn't happen."

Radley would explain if he only knew Angeal didn't know. "Right now we're trying to figure out what and how much to have on the ships. We don't wanna take everything away from the city."

He nodded thoughtfully. "That makes the most sense. I'll just have to take a look around myself, but I am not resorting to eating that paste stuff. I admit that I haven't even tried it, but I'm not about to, either."

Radley smirks. "I sure never wanna eat it again. I'll try to make sure none of us will have to."

That had the former First cock his head thoughtfully. "You have something of a plan in order to accomplish that?"

[crystalmaster]

"We're pretty well-stocked in town," Radley says. "Once we're able to get back there, I and the other diner workers will try to start bringing some supplies to the ships."

Angeal nodded thoughtfully after Radley finished speaking. "Sounds like a good plan. This place definitely seems to be in need of supplies."

[crystalmaster]

"Oh yeah. We are not putting out on a space adventure without real food," Radley smirks darkly.

Angeal half laughed. "Real food I'm sure will be appreciated by everyone."

[crystalmaster]

"Hopefully we can spare enough so that there'll be a good variety to choose from," Radley says. He's eager to get back to the city so he can start figuring it out, but for now he'll just have to make some lists from what he remembers.

"Does the populace tend to fluctuate?" Angeal asked, thinking now that Radley had mentioned sparing enough and there being a good variety. It made him think of either hopefully finding some gardening tools or cookware.

"It sure does," Radley says. "It seems like people are coming and going all the time."

He shook his head.

"I'm guessing there's no real way to monitor that except to keep an eye on our machine."

[crystalmaster]

"Pretty much," Radley said. "Then sometimes people disappear for a while and end up showing up here again."

"Do they recall being here before?" Somehow this mattered and the thought had been rattling around in his head for a few minutes now.

[crystalmaster]

"Sometimes," Radley said. "Other times, no."

[heavenlyhonour]

The former first sighed. "So much for there being a pattern."

It was disappointing.

[crystalmaster]

"Yeah, it just seems haphazard," Radley sighed too.

Another thought.

"Have you left and come back?"

[crystalmaster]

"Nah. I've been here straight through for a year and a half, almost," Radley said.

[heavenlyhonour]

He nodded. "I don't recall ever being here before either. Time will tell how long we stay here though."

[crystalmaster]

"Yeah. The way it seems to go, any day we could wake up back home," Radley said.

[heavenlyhonour]

Angeal sighed. "If the hosts gather us, they're the ones send us home?"

He's guessing here.

[crystalmaster]

"Well ..." Radley shrugged. "I don't know who else'd be doing it."

He shook his head. "If only there was a way to petition and ask."

This was frustrating.

[crystalmaster]

"I think you can ask, but the answers they typically give are pretty confusing and unhelpful," Radley sighed.

Angeal sighed. "That brings me back to the whole wondering why we're here."

Hard to find good help amongst the Agrii.
