[The angle when the feed came on indicated that something had brushed the comm and activated it without Keith's knowledge. He'd been scrolling through the feed, and then apparently set the video on when he put the comm to the side.

He was muttering to himself...]

...personal vehicles showing up... ...'d be nice to have my hoverbike... ...could fix it up again or something... ...had to before...

[A paw suddenly covered the video with a fffsshh noise, and Keith's muffled voice said something about Snow getting off the communicator. He grabbed it from under her paw, the video shaky and rotating around kind of quickly until it settled on his face.]

Aw, you turned it on? C'mon...

[Keith fumbled a bit more with the thing until he finally just spoke up and addressed the device.]

Sorry about that. Cats, am I right?

[He gave a little awkward laugh, then spun the device around to show the cat in question, looking like a perfectly disinterested snow leopard cub, and then turned it back to himself with a small shrug before disconnecting.]

She's got enough toys...

[Not that cat toys were easy to come by around this place. Most of it was handmade stuff and scavenged items that were safe for her to play with.]

It looked like it was being held together by pieces of gum and a prayer!

And there's never enough toys for pets.

Excuse you! It was perfectly safe to ride! [Okay, so maybe it wasn't as well-maintained as one of the Garrison owned ones, but Keith wouldn't have ridden an unsafe machine.] I took better care of it than that.

[He pouted a bit, ignoring the thing about the toys for now. Fine, Lance... make her some more toys.]

[Pout, pout. It was kinda scary, okay?? Being chased didn't exactly help with that..]

[Lance just sticks his tongue out at the camera.]

Still lucky I didn't fall off!

[Keith narrowed his eyes.]

Woulda been your own fault.

What?! I was hanging on for my life! I saw it flashing before me!

I told you guys I couldn't carry all of you!

It's not like we had a choice! What was I gonna do, stand and get shot at?

[He sobers.]

She plays with this thing a lot. [Keith shrugged.]

I'm alright. Getting my strength back. [The scrapes and things were definitely healed, but the arm was still sore from time to time. But he was getting better at lifting with it again.] Still need some time. [He sounded impatient. Keith was not good at waiting out healing unless he was in severe pain... which wasn't often thanks to a high pain tolerance. He tended to push his limits too much.]

That's good to hear you're improving.

[Radley wasn't sure he knew anyone who wasn't impatient to heal when they were hurt, including himself.]

Did the house get patched up too?

[He thought it had, but he hoped nothing else had happened to it since then.]

Yeah... we had some help from a few people to make up for what I couldn't do. It's livable in here, at least.

Thankfully, yes. I'm amazed the hotel wasn't hit too hard.

[There was a reason he was considered the 'stubborn one'.

Keith shook his head a bit.]

That hotel is pretty tough, oddly enough. It seems to be something either the Agrii are really good at protecting, or ... I don't know. Something else. But it's usually a good bet at staying in mostly one piece.

[Keith didn't mind a small space. His shack hadn't exactly been a mansion. But the close quarters with other people had been a bit much for him. He'd needed less neighbors.]
