Someone want to explain something to me?

_{[It starts with just voice, Hargrove's voice, out by the beach judging by the sound of the waves. Then it clicks over to video as he figures that part out.

In the viewfinder is a 1979 Z/28 Camaro, but she's absolute mess. There's evidence of a fire under the hood; the windshield is smashed from some impact at it; there's blood where the window meets the driver door; the passenger side is smashed inwards a little bit from something hitting it. Oh, and it sits on the beach and while that's where Billy's been staying, that's not ideal for it.

He has no idea what the fuck happened to his car, but he's both angry and devastated.]}

The fuck happened here? Is this some kind of sick joke, finding and bringing my car to me like this?! We don't even have a mechanic shop here!

[Radley is horrified. He can fully understand Billy's devastation. He would be outraged and crushed if his Harley showed up like this.]

That's ... that really is a sick joke. It's just ... ugh!

[He can't stand to see a beautiful car in this condition.]

I wonder if there's any way it can be fixed here....

[He might be able to do something, but he's not sure. He helped his friends build motorcycles from scrap, but this ... this is a whole new level of disaster.]

[Eddie's eyes are wide, though the look of surprise is somewhat dampened by his shoveling some sort of snack in his face.]

[It wasn't completely beyond saving though, he didn't think. He could probably help--but was it worth it, dancing around his secret?]

_{[The angle goes every which way for a moment, and there's the sound of metal squealing as he opens the hood to look instead. The camera then focuses on the parts underneath. Everything looks charred, like some of the plastic pieces melted - things like the air intake and wiring. It's a mess.]}

If it's a sick joke and I find out who the fuck did it, I'm putting them six feet under with my own hands.

_{[And that sounded like a fucking promise at this point. And if he couldn't do it with his hands well... he had an axe.]}

I don't know. I'm gonna try. God, I don't even know what the fuck happened. The windshield - something hit my car while I was driving and that's--

_{[He clams up. Billy doesn't want to talk about it while he's angry. It'll make it worse.]}

It wasn't like this last I saw it. The windshield might be the hardest part to find around here.

_{[Wow, don't be obnoxious, Eddie. Keep the crunching off of the alien phone thing.]}

Don't know. I heard something outside my beach cabin and came out to find it like this. The fuck did you guys do to it in Hawkins?! I know I wasn't the best guy in town, but I didn't think you guys would beat the shit out of my car!

[Look, they've made some headway, they bonded a little, and Max doesn't want to hold every little thing over Billy's head - not the best thing to do for second chances - but she can't help but handle his ire with some teasing. Not after her skateboard.]

[Besides, in a way, it's kind of nice to see Billy's car, even totally trashed. She sounds amused, clearly not serious about this, and not bothering to answer him.]

We're going to need a lot of duck tape.

It is a nice car. And yeah. I'll try to fix it up, that's a stupid fucking question.

_{[Now Billy just sounds annoyed, and rightfully so. He wasn't about to give up on his car just because it looks like it went through hell and back. Which, it kinda did, if Hawkins is anything to go by from what the others have said.]}

I'll have to figure out parts and shit. The windshield will be the toughest but it's not impossible. Just harder, that's all.

Sadly, I can't take any responsibility for this one. Some of the damage was you, or necessary to keep flayed you from killing us.

... I'll try to help you if you want. I don't know how much help I'll be; I've only worked on motorcycles. But I might be able to do something.

_{[Well that gets him to shut up a little bit. But the anger roars back in with ease.]}

It had you there, when everyone was at the Mall. The plan was for Nancy and Jonathan to get all of the kids out of town for safety. Except it had you remove the starter cable thing. And when they were loaded up you were there. You were going to ram the car. Nancy was between you and the car, shooting at the Camaro to try and stop you.

You were going to kill her. And a lot of them. All we could figure out to do was to stop the Camaro before you could hit them. The only way we could do that was to hit the Camaro first.

_{[It's worse in person, or maybe it just feels that way because this is his car.]}

There are ships here, right? There's gotta be shit we can use from that to try and fix my Camaro up. At least there's other motor people here like you that aren't completely fucking stupid that can help.

_{[His hand appears to move over some of the parts, testing to see how bad everything is and...yeah, it's bad. Broke but not broken.]}

Yeah. Gotta be gentle with a windshield.

[Not that he actually knew shit about that in particular, but he was still well aware that replacing a windshield wasn't easy. Especially in a place like this. It wasn't like they had an abundance of replacements at the ready.]

How bad is it under the hood?

_{[He gets Max's message first, and then Robin's which just clarifies things. None of it's good. Of course it's not.]}

_{[At least Robin's explanation explained the smaller holes in the glass. Being shot at, not rats. Not the rats from the woods.]}

Rats hit it. In the woods when I was driving one night. But my sister and one of her friends explained that other shit happened.

Not easy, but fixable. Something caught it on fire, but I don't know what.

There were ships. I'm pretty sure they're still not back, unfortunately. The Agrii took them to do ... something with them.

I don't remember any of it because it wasn't me. Imagine sitting in the driver's seat of your mind, in charge of everything, and then being shoved into the passenger seat and put to sleep. That's what it was like. There was only one time I got to take the wheel for longer than a few seconds.

I remember the showers, briefly the poolside, and the sauna.

That's it.
