Peter squints at May, and can see her displeasure plain enough as he feels his own at the sudden lack of powers. And given the weather outside it couldn’t have come at a worse time. And of course the communicators aren’t working, not that he really expects anyone to happen to have a spare pair of glasses hanging around in his exact prescription.
“We gotta gear up, Kid,” he sighs, packing up a diaper bag as Mayday dramatically pulls her hat down over her eyes.
They only make it a little ways down the hall before Peter spots someone, and when he catches up to Richie he makes a grab for his glasses without explaining, exchanging them for the child. He tries them on before huffing. “No,” he sighs, removing them and placing them back on Richie’s face. “…also, hello. Good to meet you. All that,” he adds belatedly, "Is your...everything all out of whack too?"
