Not quite a Disney Princess
WHO: Ash, Pikachu & you!
WHERE: The Flood Plains
WHAT: Ash is out exploring and the animals are all returning
WHEN: late September
WARNINGS: none at the moment.
{ Morning Exercise in Town }
As per his usual routine, Ash is out for his usual morning run with Pikachu, the two racing alongside each other. Pikachu could easily overtake Ash but their race isn't to see who's the winner, it's just for fun and Pikachu wants to stay near Ash just incase.
Ash is in good spirits today just as he is about everyday. His cap is twisted backwards and he and Pikachu dart here and there through out town. Suddenly, Pikachu stops which causes Ash to stop as well.
Pika?" Pikachu voices.
"What's up, Pikachu?"
"Pika!" Pikachu points up at a piglet squirrel that's watching them from a three branch. Ash follows his line of sight and gives it a smile.
"Hello!" He offers. Pikachu moves to run up the tree to say hello. The Piglet Squirrel doesn't run off but it doesn't seem to understand. Ash follows suit, climbing up the tree with ease and sitting up on the branch. He pulls a berry out of his pocket and offers it out to the creature who takes it happily.
{ Out Exploring | Floodplain }
Ash and Pikachu are out exploring again, this time they're over by the floodplain and stopped to eat their lunch. Ash sits under a tree that offers a good bit of shade, once he's done with his lunch he leans back against the roots of a tree and it isn't long before he starts to doze off, Pikachu curled up on his stomach and napping with him.
He's awoken by the sound of something moving nearby and looks over to see a small heard of Pecoraves grazing. He sits up to get a better look and then He hears something that sounds like a 'ribbit' and glances down at his hand to see an energizer frog. He opens his hand and lets it hop up.
Maybe he should be concerned about how long he'd dozed off for but he's far more impressed with the Frokie-like and stantler-like creatures with a couple of extra legs. "Aren't they cool?"
"Pika" Pikachu nods in agreement, getting a close look at the frog. He hears movement behind them and hops off Ash and stand in a battle ready stance, tail up in the air and cheeks sparking in warning.

"This better not go as badly as the last time," he remarks as he comes over.

"No need to worry. This branch is a lot sturdier." He says confidently. He'd stand up to jump on it and prove his point but that might startle his new friend so he stays where he is and gives the critter another berry.

"I'm glad to see they got to safety before the eruption. Where we're from there are Pokémon that are able to handle extreme heat like from a volcano. There's even one that will rest in volcanoes when it gets tired." He explains, Pikachu nodding in agreement.

"Hey, guys! What's up?"

"Pikachu, don't!" Ash tries to discourage this partners 'Fight-Response' but oh well.
"PiKachu? (Are you okay?)" he asks in concern.

Upon regaining his composure, Sonic dusts himself off, pats down a few stray quills that have gone rogue, and carries on as though nothing happened.
"Oh yeah, I'm fine," he says, in response to Pikachu's pikachuing, "it's far from the first time I've ever been electrocuted, and it's definitely not going to be the last."
Just give him a second to realize that he can fully understand all the tiny woodland creatures.
