[Open] It's a Winter Wonderland

WHO: Teddy, OTA
WHERE: Winter Planet
WHAT: Teddy's arrival, snowball fights, investigating the food.
WHEN: During the event, late January.
WARNINGS: N/A

a; arrival
Teddy has set a new record on how many times he can get kidnapped by aliens in a twenty-four hour period. Although, the Agrii are the first aliens who have abducted him that have neither tried to kill him nor pressure him into becoming their king. And...he really doesn't know what to do with that. In fact, he barely has time to come to terms with what he's even doing on their planet before being shipped off to another one.

This new planet looks like something out of a Christmas movie, if the movie was set during the Christmas off season. If it wasn't for the other ships lined up just outside the village, he would think the place has been abandoned. Still, it looks far more welcoming than the idea of standing out in the snow does. Teddy is not dressed for winter, clad only in a pair of dark pants and a close-fitting sleeveless top. And while he does feel the icy bite of the cold air against his skin, he doesn't appear to feel it as deeply as one would expect. If that doesn't do enough to make him stand out, he's also carrying a rather large sword with some kind of runic language carved into it.

He's a bit on guard as he enters the village, not sure what kind of reception to expect. He's still half-expecting someone or something to attack.

b; snow ball fight
Growing up in New York City has taught Teddy all of the numerous ways in which to take advantage of snow. From snow angels to snowmen he's skilled in the art of transforming snow into whatever he wants it to be. But there's nothing he enjoys better than rolling up the snow into a tightly packed ball and launching it at some poor unsuspecting target.

Not hard, of course. He would never use his real strength for something like that. But his aim is impeccable, especially when his target isn't expecting it. A snow ball glides through the air, bumping into a shoulder, or against a back, and crumbling apart into smaller clumps of snow. Teddy, grinning, can easily be spotted as the culprit.

"Why don't we put this snow to some good use?"

c; this food is questionable
Despite his few misadventures in space, Teddy has never been exposed to protein gel before. And the longer he's around it the more sure he is that he's never wanted to be exposed to it. But here he is. Staring mutinously at a somewhat cleverly disguised piece of protein gel in the shape of a steak.

"Has anyone tried asking what this stuff is made out of? 'Protein' is not a good enough answer. They have the power to abduct us from our worlds but can't manage to bring any real food along for the ride?"

"They are alive, off-planet. Why could they not make a home somewhere else? Why can they not make space itself their home, building space stations large enough to accommodate their species. Their technology is obviously advanced- it would not be beyond them."

Reading between the lines was a Sith's bread and butter. And Altair was good at it. This was more speculation, obviously. But it still counted as questions that the Agrii had not answered. And likely wouldn't answer in any satisfying ways.

"Should whatever happened here be happening elsewhere in this galaxy as well, then it is strange that we have only heard from the Agrii and not anyone else, as well."

He sighed, "Besides. They are not the only ones who are desperate. They plucked some of us away from things that needed to be done."

"A home can be made anywhere. So long as they have their people, they can mourn the loss of their planet and start again elsewhere."

Altair sounded like he had some experience there. And he did- after all, the people of Makeb had had to flee their home planet to make a living elsewhere. They had to mourn their home, yet move on to the future, and keep their focus that they had their lives and their families.

"Besides, even if they are so intent on saving it, why not find another way? Why should we have to suffer or possibly die for their sake, when none of us have made the choice to do so. Saving a planet isn't without risk, and throwing random bodies with varied skills at a problem... I fail to see how that will solve anything."

Altair had his questions about their situation, and more than one frustration.

"... And as you said, it could very well be that they are intercepting messages. They seem innocent, even kind. And maybe they are. But you have to question what sort of intellect is behind kidnapping random individuals from random worlds and expecting them all to have the capacity to become a savior."
kallig: (Complicated thoughts)

"If they're not intelligent enough to think of it themselves, I'm sure my saying so won't do anyone any good."

He sighed deeply then, reaching a hand up under his veil to pinch the bridge of his nose, before shaking his head.

"I apologize. I'm quite aware you're in the same situation the rest of us are in."

He was just more frustrated than usual, he supposed, what with having been turned into a child recently and had the secret he'd been so careful to keep come out much sooner than he was actually ready for it to.
